this is the difference between rational people and a bunch of 20 year olds who just don't want to see a player kicked off of their favorite college football team

Rational people know there are two sides to the story and some people have been to tigerland and know that crap like this happens multiple times a night. Is it the smartest thing-no. Should it cost a guy his way to get an education for free and possibly provide for his family for years to come-No. Kids with tops can get in a a barfight every single night of the week with nothing. Hill gets antagonized and some people call for his head.

Nope. I just know this is a bigger deal than it will turn out to be.

I said that yesterday. I doubt this turns into anything bigger than misdemeanor simple battery if anything. The biggest question is Hill's probation. However, what I think you need to really understand, if all the kid did was call him the n word, Hill isn't going to be able to rely on that as justification for KO'ing the kid.

if you have ever been a part of a college team, or even know someone who has, you get special treatment. but the flipside is that you are held to a higher standard. you get free room and board, but you are also a billboard for lsu. you dont get one without the other.

I don't, I just find it very hard to believe that it happens every time an LSU player gets in a fight. I do know that in undergrad I was pretty good friends with a couple black athletes and I never saw anyone starting random shite with them by calling them the n-word.

I doubt Hill jacked up some random guy just for fun.

None of these were ever alleged over being called the n-word.

Hill's actions weren't justified in a court of law, but they were justified in my eyes.

From an outside perspective, I can see its easy to label Hill as "thug POS" but if you get an idea of what happened and who the kid is, it makes sense that this happened like it did.

If Hill's actions are considered a violation of probation, he could be facing real jail time for this. What a shame.

A poster always throws it out there, same for those incidents. I'm not saying Hill went berserk and starting beating up guys for fun. I just know I don't know.

Well it would be a good reason for seemingly otherwise calm guys to destroy some frat frick.

with huge character concerns.... I don't know who started the entire thing. But I definitely know that with being on probation, Hill was definitely in the wrong.

I've thought that many times. When millions are involved people will stoop to very low levels to win...

I have no idea what happened, but I could easily see a scenario where Hill is there hitting on some white chick and a drunk redneck/frat has some not so kind words to say about it. Testosterone flows, alcohol starts talking ... we've all seen it happen.
