So why in the world would I take the chance on believing accusations like this when there is literally zero potential upside in doing so even it it is all true?

You shouldn't. All of our players have great character. We have zero chance of someone with poor character having any influence on other players. All of our players that get drafted will buy the towns that they came from and make them prosper.

I'm a strong advocate in disagreement of this.

And Hill is hands down in the wrong IMO. It's just a generic insult. It is no more justification to engage in violence than any other generic insult. I hate that people so often regurgitate this nonsense that this one magical word, for this one particular ethnicity, is so unique and taboo that it morally justifies any violent actions taken as a result even if the person is still legally charged. It is utterly illogical and nonsensical.

This situation is no different than someone opening their mouth in an insulting and provocative way and getting their arse kicked as a result. It's really no more or less. Did the guy ask for it? Yes. But if everybody went around punching everybody who "asked for it" it would be an Irish Pub 24/7 when you are out and about.

That being said, whoever came up with this notion that you treat your stars the same way as the scrubs is a moron. And the fact that this situation seems to be something that is rather minor for young men, a fight after someone provoked him with words, I don't see it warranting harsh punishment in terms of game suspensions. But that's just me...

Who is this person that closes that you are thinking of? Does he ever open?

LSUIEGRAD13 saying Hill deserved to be called the word because Hill is a douche bag. He gets mad at me for saying you can't go around calling black people that word. He then tells me I need to go to an N word convention to learn about my race and that he's been the last two years

As ridiculous as it seems, this is pretty much spot on.

I should give this site a Phd. in this subject, but it would surely fall on deaf ears for most...because "The Catastrophe Syndrome" still rules this forum. Poor, poor rantards! Why not get your own life! There is a real world out away from your computer.

I agree that Hill shouldn't be punished harshly. He should sit the first half of the first game IMO depending on the outcome of the situation. Les might choose this incident to prove a point on the other hand. LSU has been dealing with off season vs to the point it has become annual. Just look at the past 4 years.

The Akeem Hicks situation
Russell Shepard violating ncaa rules
Shadys bar fight
4 players suspended for 2011 Auburn game for drugs
Tyrann Mathieu booted off the team
Jeremy Hill

All that within the last 4 years. Les may start laying the law down.

Jefferson deserved to be suspended for the ENTIRE year. Hill should get off the field punishment and a chance to to show he's going to keep himself in line until the opening game. Why you ask? Because like I said, you don't treat your stars like all the other guys.

Seriously though. If Miles makes this ANYTHING like the Jefferson punishment I am going to be so fricking pissed. I am so sick of our stars not playing because of shitty off the field suspensions.

If you actually read my previous posts, you'd see that I've already clearly expressed my opinion on that.
