I believe there was room to continue to try and have him do that in the second half

I am a Lee fan, but I am glad we had JJ Sat. night. I think they got into his head and it was probably when the linebacker came in uncontested and hammered him. He has gotten better, but he tries very hard to avoid getting hit and he was going to get hit against bama.

You're right. It was very evident that their was a lot of heavy hitting. I don't think Lee was prepared for that.

He didn't drop anything. It wasn't put in his hands. It was close but just out of reach.

LSU gets a punt run back to the 38 but there is a penalty on TM7. Ball gets put back to the 5 yard line. Jefferson comes in and is leading the drive down the field as the ball is now on the 45 yd line with 1:24 on the clock. Drive stalls.

That's accurate. It was probably 2 inches out of his reach. Grazed off his fingertips. But if Jefferson throws it any closer, I worry about that INT. I'll take the incompletion and the FG.

TM7 cost us some great field position. He almost cost us the opportunity to win. But you can't fault him. He was just playing aggressive. It is also obvious that Bama players was trying to get into Honey Badgers head. Bama then runs out the clock as we head into overtime.

In overtime Bama QB overthrows Richardson, then he takes a sack. Bama's kicker misses. LSU has a chance to win it.

I don't think that's why it happened. TM7 hasn't overreacted to anything like that this season. I don't think he starts here. I think he was worried Dre was going to level OBJ and possibly cause a fumble. So he tried to make a play. He ended up misjudging the situation and made a bad play. You live with it.

Ware up the middle for a few yards. Ford takes it around end and scores. LSU players are running onto the field and media is swarming Les. But wait, Ford was ruled out at the 7. The field is cleared and we get back to action.

Hilliard up the middle for 1. Ware up the middle for 1 and puts the ball in the middle. Alleman is trotting onto the field. He lines up and Saban calls time out.

Alleman lines up for the kick again. He swings and boots it through the upright. TIGERS WIN. TIGERS WIN. Miles beats Saban 2 years in a row and with Jefferson as his QB. The defense proved it is great and our offense can move the ball, but unfortunately tonight they went up against BAMA. After watching this game again, it is obvious to me that a Stanford or Okie state would be no match for LSU. However, Bama would be a stern test if their was a rematch.

Their should be NO rematch. Bama would sit at home while LSU is playing an SEC championship game. That would be unjust. LSU beat Bama on their home field, in front of their fans and LSU beat them. That's the bottom line. Bama did not give the game away as both teams lost opportunities. LSU vs Stanford would be the BEST game. Luck would get crushed and our offense would gave a field day as Stanfords defense is not Bamas defense. GO TiGERS.

I was actually satisfied that they decided to give up time at the end of regulation and settle for OT. Bad coaching decision IMO. Means a lack of confidence in your offense, thinking they might make a costly, potential turnover.

Saban in the post game interview was Saban. I will only say that WE are very lucky and blessed to have Les Miles.

You're right - that was another poor decision by Saban. He did not give his team a chance to win. We are lucky that Saban coached the other team Saturday night.

In Saban's defense he would have had to get down to the other 25-30 yard line to have an attempt at a FG. That was 45-50 yards away in 50 seconds when his offense hadn't gained 100 yards the entire 2nd half and with our defensive line teeing off against McCarron.

I think he probably made the right decision.

Considering Saban supposedly recruits the best, but his kickers leave a lot to be desired. This game was truly a great classic. Final - LSU 9 Alabama 6.

The ball clearly hit Randles hands however it would have been a great catch but the ball was catchable. A longstanding rule in football: if a ball touches the receivers hands or fingers he must catch it. As I said, it still would gave been a great catch - a Joe Montana moment to Dwight Clark.
