You think the starting QB has 0 audible authority, or cant look off his 1st read (who's usually 3-4 yards out)?

He doesn't need to look off his first read when that read is open (especially when you guys would scream bloody murder with every sack he takes: "There he goes again! Like a deer in the headlights!!!").

I'm not going to question a QB with a +75% completion rating with a higher yard-per-attempt average than Matt Flynn or Matt Mauck (or JaMarcus his Junior year).

reading defenses presnap to find a receiver that is likely to beat the coverage

This is a very good point.

R you serious? Z Lee leaving has not effected this team at all. He was NOT going to play so his leaving won't be felt until next year or the next!

Let Jefferson sink or swim, but get rid of the half arse conservative one-hand tied behind our back crap that Crowton calls an offense.

so he gives us an equal or better chance to win than Mauck or Flynn would if they were at QB right now?

It sounds good but it's not factual.

Last season Jordan had a higher completion percentage, a better QB rating, a better TD/INT ratio, and a higher yards per attempt rating than Flynn did. Flynn had a far superior OL and RBs.

You guys remember Flynn so fondly because: We won the national title, he's a "good leader", he carried himself in a way that was more endearing than JJ.

But you're letting your personal fondness for Flynn cloud your memories and your judgements of him versus JJ as far as how they performed on the field.

This JJ/Mf comparision needs to stop.

Its not even close.
I dont give a damn what JJ's stats are.

Fact is while he's been leading this offense it has sucked. Plain and simple undisputable, JJ led LSU offense has been bad.

50 of those came on one play (very nice throw)
meh, it was still underthrown, and had they had better coverage it wouldn't have been caught

it was working pretty good until we had a rushing TD called back with 11 minutes to go in the game. we were going up by 27-28 points.
we had 162 rushing yards with 4 fumbles lost. take those away and i'd bet we're EASILY over 200 yards rushing against a very good front 7 for UNC. our rushing attack was pretty strong

True. If not for the idiotic phantom holding call on TBob and JJ's foolish grounding sack that alone puts you over 200 yards rushing even with the turnovers. Ball security is the key. Stop turning the ball over. Without the turnovers(yes I know two were b/s)the Tigers easily run over 70 plays with 40 or more points. Fix ball security and defensive exection in obvious passing situations and that game is a route.

Again, that's not his fault. His stats prove that he's been a very good QB.

The problem is the playcalling and the lack of rhythm that has been established under Crowton.

How many drives have we had crushed due to some dumbass end around or option to the short side of the field? That isn't JJ's fault. That our coaches' fault. We've had a shitton of promising drives scuttled by either stupid penalties (coaches' fault) or dumb playcalling that puts us in a 2nd and 16 (coaches' fault).

I've been hoping and hoping for the light bulb to go off, but it hasn't. Sometimes, what you see is what you get.

Lets Hope the other guy has improved, a lot. Because we're just average with the status quo. We can't take advantage of our strengths, even.

And let me warn everyone, Chavis defenses will never survive the fourth qtr if we can't pick it up on offense. Miss State was mashing us in the fourth qtr last year. Miss State?

my point is that it wasn't that great of a pass. it may have been his best deep ball ever, but if Randle wasn't so completely open, it probably would have not been a touchdown. a lot of posters on here are pointing to that play and saying JJ now has touch on his deep ball, when in reality, it wasn't that great of a throw, it was a an underthrown ball to a wide open reciever

It was a great throw and a great catch. Jefferson stepped up in the pocket and delivered a strike.
