Arkansas State is in the Sun Belt. They finished higher than ULM. JJ's stats against ULM? 4/10 51 yards 0 touchdowns 0 interceptions 3 carries for -4 yards rushing 0 touchdowns.

Wasn't it ULM that bean Bama not long ago... NOT Ark St.?

You think maybe Ark St. could have finished better cause they didn't play anyone. I don't know and dont care. Just saying. Anywho I posted the stats cause you asked. I just stated a fact that Ark St. was lowly. Don't get all defensive with me

Arkansas State finished higher in their conference by playing different conference opponents? Oh and they beat ULM 34-20 last year.

Other than 3 TDs... not great

Maybe not. But it was still a better passing game than most of LSU's last season. JC QB means nothing positive or negative. Neither does SEC QB, really. Until JJ and/or Mett play in actual games this year no one knows what to expect from either.

I swear some of yall are just so firmly entrenched in the stand up for JJ movement, to where youre really just trying to convince yourself hes indeed this huge diamond in the rough.

Yeah, but OOC doesn't effect where you finish in your conference. It's arbitrary, just saying though...I'm too tired to continue. Pick this up tomorrow.

Correct, but lets bash JJ anyway and refuse to believe he could have possibly improved just because we "heard it before".

Wow talk about altering facts to fit your argument. That was a 1 loss LSU team that blew out Florida. The season wasnt lost till Mauck got hurt

Hey Rudae', maybe you're onto something...check out the powerhouses Mauck QB'd against that year:

Virginia Tech - Loss
Citadel (SC)-W
Miami (OH)-W
Mississippi St. -W
Louisiana-Lafayette -W
Florida-W

Can't you smell the Championship?? Forget Saban's "Vaunted Defense" not showing up for Auburn or Bama or R-Kansas or Texas..

You suffer from the same disease rudy does. Reading comprehension failure.

You do realize that pointing out "there were plenty of people messing up on offense INCLUDING BOTH QB's" =/= sticking up for JJ, right????

its beyond that, I wasnt talking about you exclusively.

most cant even agree on what his obvious flaws and strengths are

negative comment about JJ, stats are cited, W-L used as counter argument.

its a variation of the same arguments in every QB thread

You should just admit you don't know the definition of "bashing."

I find it amusing that the JJ bashers can't even include his best stats when trying to diminish his abilities even further... And that's his running. Sure, he's no Michael Vick. Nobody is saying he is. But he does a pretty good job making plays from time to time when nothing else is working. And this is, in my opinion, the biggest reason he was in there and never lost his starting role to JL.

They just outright refuse to give him any credit for his rushing ability. Like running doesn't matter. Some games that was ALL we had... but the bashers ignore it. When something good happened for JJ, it was because of someone else, but when JJ had a poor result, it was all JJ.

It's really become a joke.

fair enough, but you cant deny a good portion of those who defend JJ generally wont admit his passing was mediocre at best
WR dropping balls, the offensive play calling, etc.

its the same thing

Maybe so, and I can't speak for everyone, but I can show dozens of times in arguments with Rudy, et.al., that I said BOTH QBs, including JJ played poorly.

But I also said he had plenty of help messing up.

And I'll stick to that statement. And I'm quite certain that is a pretty accurate statement.

You keep saying that but I would love to know on a play such as a bubble screen how are you going to blame the WR when he is waiting for the ball and JJ continually threw it behind him,,at his feet, way over his head or where he had to dive for the ball to catch it and couldnt get up and run? How do the WR contribute to that? JJ's biggest issue and the biggest (notice I said biggest, I know you love to twist words but I said biggest not ONLY) issue the passing offense had was JJ's inaccuracy and lack of consitently being able to throw an on target pass!

Another fine example of the JJ fanboy creed when you dont have a factual argument bash those who do!
