Empty calories

Explains a lot of these bad takes.

JD obviously didn't win the game for us but he didn't lose it either. OL, DB, and WR didn't play well. Critical drops by the WR killed us in key drives. Team folded in the second half and Perkins was a non factor. Nabors looked like Boutte 2.0. He's supposed to be one of the best WR in the country. He looked average.

I'm most disappointed in the run game. I was expecting the OL to be dominant and they weren't. Far from it.

The coaches lost this game. They believed their own hype and were complacent. They were out coached. 2nd half was a shite show. BK looked lost on the sidelines. There is a lot of talent on this team and I hope this was a wakeup call.

But there lies the issues. Defenses can say load the box to stop his run. He won’t take a chance down field.

That is exactly what teams will do.
Hopefully jt works for us

That's really my issue. Look JD. At some point you are gonna have to trust your guys to make the play. If you throw the picks fine at this point. It will give the people that hate you more fuel but at this point you have to do it. The offense requires shots down the field.

if you think JD is a quality passer, then honestly take a look at the game and compare him with Travis .

JD has more passing yards. Yes Travis had a better game, but the gap b/t the two QBs is not as big as everyone thinks.

Travis looked down field and delivered some beautiful strikes. JD threw short passes to open receivers on the sideline.

Travis' first TD was 41 yards; 8 of that was in the air and 33 yards were after the catch. Travis' last TD was 44 yards; 14 of that was in the air & 30 yards after the catch. On that one, he actually threw behind the WR. If we had anyone near him, that isn't even a completion.

For the record, I'm not trying to discount what Travis did. He played a great game. I'm simply pointing out that if you scrutinize him the way y'all are with JD, you'd see that his stats are 'padded' with yards after the catch and imperfect throws. His receivers dropped some and bailed him out as well. That is football. Stats are what they are. We don't get to subtract a handful of plays to fit the narrative.

Who cares if you can’t read a defense have zero awareness and cant throw downfield. Same bs as last year. Put in Nuss
