I see he didn't play last night so I was wondering if he still hurt or it was a coaching decision

IMO, i think it was a coaches decision. I have nothing to base that on except that Sampson didn't play at all against Wake. I think the coaches are trying to figure out how to fit those guys in the rotation.

Patterson played against Wake, but he didn't look too crisp IMO. Seemed like his wasn't as quick and explosive and he usually is. I wonder if they decided that he needed more time and wouldn't use him unless they had to.

Injury report in the Advocate mentioned only Bridgewater, but made no mention of Patterson nor was in mentioned why he did not play.

Given the struggles of Sampson and Blakeney last night I was calling for Patterson all night. Yet to hear a substantiated report as to why.

Listen, I'm one of the very few Pro-CJJ people left, and after the Wake game i am very much on the fence, but even i realize that our rotation is always questionable. Sampson was injured in practice a couple of days before the Wake game but he was cleared to play. He should have played just like Patterson should have played against Vandy. We need to let both play and go with the hot hand after that.

Folks always want a lot of depth and bemoan it when we don't have it, but it ain't easy with today's players who will transfer at the drop of a hat, trying to keep everyone happy and also do what's best for the team.

Having said that, great win that I very much enjoyed, but there were some curious subbing last night.

No Patterson, both Elbert and Malone in before Epps (Malone played his best game in a long time) and Elbert again in a spot in the second half where it hurt us.

But Gray for Q in the first half turned out to be a good sub, maybe the sub of the game as he got 3 steals right off the bat and energized the team while Q was really struggling.

I was there last night... Patterson warmed up, Bridgewater was in street clothes.

I think Johnny has done a great job with Gray this year. You can tell right away if you are getting good Gray or bad Gray. The couple of times we have gotten bad Gray, Johnny has jumped ship on him.
