Yikes. Hope his calf heals up for pro day. He's so good, he needs to mitigate this disaster.

perceived 1st rd Keenan Allen to the 3rd round because he ran a 4.7 something last year. He finished the year with 1046 yards and 8 TDs.
He dropped due to health concerns which caused him to miss the combine
He's also 6 2 and can jump

If you're objective, Jarvis has some weak spots in his game. '12 there was a lot of speculation his routes were off, that's why Mett was always missing him.
He's strong and powerful, but not that big. He does have excellent hands, but may have touble getting open versus pro corners. He had to make a lot of catches against tight coverage in college. The question/concern is- will he still be able to present a window (however small) against the NFL guys, or will he be blanketed too much?

Plus he led the nation in 3rd down receptions and TD's among receivers. Most scouts already knew he wasn't going to test well at the combine

Watch his tape. The combine is fun to watch but not necessarily accurate to follow. If you listened to the stats on Receivers that ran a 4.3 in previous years (10+ I believe) only ONE had a 1000 yard season. Landry is and will be my favorite WR in this draft and is easily one of the best to play as a tiger.

There were times when he had some space in the longer receptions, but how much of that was teams underestimating Mett's arm? You didn't think the ball was gonna get there that quickly.
Jarvis has holes in his game. He is strong enough to be a physical receiver, but he's not really big enough. He can catch anything he gets his hands on, but will you throw it to him while he's blanketed?

who cares about his 40 or vertical. its how he will be used in a scheme. he's dependable and has clutch hands. plus, he is willing to be a physical blocker as well. todd mcshay was raving about landry and odb's pancake blocks.
it's all about how you utilize your talent.

I'd still take him over OBJ. Although OBJ is gonna be a beast too.

vertical.
Probably more important than his 40 time. 28.5" is more disappointing IMO than his 40 time.
You can probably be slow but create a mismatch by going vertical. If you can't run away, and you can't outjump, your value may drop a bit.
He'll prove himself once he gets a roster spot though.
