He reminds me Wendell Davis. Excellent route runner. Great hands. Needs more speed to be an elite prospect in the NFL. I look for him to be our go to reciever for Mettenberger. Davis made Hodson.

JLandry is gonna be an impact player. Not that he resembles him or anything, but the blocking skill/toughness brings to mind Michael Clayton. Combine that with his Hines Ward resemblance, and we got outselves a heckuva impact player

Not True! He started playing WR toward the end of the season in Dinardo's last year. I think he was the leading receiver in the loss to Alabama that year.

I think Booty read the bulletin boards because it was suggested at least twice on one board earlier in the season. Dumnardo was using Nall and a walkon QB as back up WRs with a future Belinitkof winner sitting on the bench.

Landry's speed is fine. Wendell never had elite speed at all & went in the first round.

Wendell earned his draft position based on production. I'm sure Jarvis will do the same. But speed sells in the NFL and from my limited knowledge of Jarvis he doesn't look like a 4.4 guy. Of course Jerry Rice wasn't known for his speed either. I only meant that as an NFL prospect if he was faster he would be rated higher.

No, he was moved to WR at the end of the previous season as I recall.

Mention Reed's name to an Alabama fan and watch him turn pale

I'm sure Illinois fans have "fond" memories of him too. I still laugh about a quote in an article written by a Big 10 sportswriter after the Sugar Bowl in 1/02: "There are bars on Bourbon Street that don't stay open as long as Josh Reed."

Absolutely reminds me of JR. I don't get excited about highlight tapes, but when I saw Landry's, I immediately thought of Reed. His balance, route running and the way he runs after the catch are what made me think of Reed.

Yeah, no telling yet what Jarvis will do,but he looks great though. I think Rice was ran in the 4.65 range. (?) The NFL seems to have devalued college production somewhat over the years.

Josh Reed went to my high school

I wish he would've been able to have a better NFL career... I hate seeing shite like that happen to such a great player

Hope you are right. Clayton was the best blocking WR ever at LSU in my opinion. If Landry is like Clayton in that regard, look for Ford, Ware, and even Shep to break a few long runs.

Landry blocking like Clayton and catching like Josh Reed would be awesome!
