for fricks sake.
Perhaps you're right.

Let me change that.

Go JJ bashers . . . and keep going until you get to Gumpland.

Of course, one must realize that in the case of you and RobbBoob and virtually every other Lee supporter, Lee supporter = JJ basher.

I'm talking about the past. I haven't made any predictions other than that Jefferson will start every game this year barring injury.

In JJ's case he better pick the pace up from where he left off this spring (which many of refuse to mention) b/c for some reason or another to you guys its totally irrelevant.

I don't ignore it. I just put more stock in actual game play over the course of two years than a scrimmage on one afternoon.

In JL's case... IMO all he has to do is show that he can protect the football.

Throwing interceptions wasn't Lee's only problem, just his biggest. While its often a knock on Jefferson, Lee seems to have a greater difficulty reading defenses and checking out of plays when compared to Jefferson.

The only thing I knock JJ is his pocket presence.

He could have avoided sacks last season had he just thrown the ball away. Many times last season, he broke containment, and, instead of tucking it and running, he sort of moved very slowly while DEs tackled him from behind.

Of course, however, throwing the ball away 20 times last year would have dropped his completion % down to 57% or so, thereby removing the He completed 61% of his passes threads.

Give me 20 less sacks accomplished by throwing it away and a lower completion % every day and twice on Sunday.

You do realize "pocket presence" goes hand in hand with not knowing where to go with the football?

That works the opposite way as well sadly...

Funny thing everyone should be a Lee and JJ supporter as they push each other in practice forcing the other to be better. The player that gives LSU a chance to win will start yet both contributes to making the other player better.

yep. but we all know he struggles with that.

i don't really care who starts. Both can look extremely sharp on Tuesday and then it looks like i'm the quarterback out there on thursdays.

Personally that's exactly how I feel

However you have a group here that feels that jj is head and shoulders above jl and imo its complete Bs and that's where they bulk of these theads generate to and from

True.

..another fault I think JJ has is that he wants to see his receivers open before he throws them the football. At that point, it's too late.

Read the D. Take your drop. Throw to the spot like you practice every day.

His drop and his internal clock are his two biggest problems.

His actual throwing motion is third.

Dropping back too far, which throws off the timing routes and puts strain on the OTs because he drops too deep.

this has been my main complaint as well. does JL do a better job of this ? i cant say for sure. i do feel like either QB , with a solid running game could do well this year

The running game is key. Our OL would have made a lot of QBs look bad last season.

We will know very early if our OL has improved straight out of the gate.

I don't think JL has to see his receivers open before he throws them the ball.

Seems you are looking for the back door on this ( A way out of the comment you made)

What makes you better than the people that bash j. Lee! When you bash JJ every chance you get?

Good luck to J.lee and JJ this year !!!!!!
