Don't know what his confidence level is but I would think he'll get a chance to find out. I hope so. The kid has hung in there to be a Tiger.

I think Lee may be the answer to Tigers' offensive problems. He can get a play off quicker and seems to have a much better grasp of the game than JJ. I'm hoping JJ understands the game much better this year.
Regardless of who starts,Tigers will have a QB with some experience for the first time since '07.

I find it interesting that everytime qb is mentioned, LM and players always revert to both JJ and JL.
Seems if this was soley JJ's team JL would be an afterthought.
JMO.

I'll take my chances with J.L.
The coaches have already made the determination that JJ is the better option and the argument is pointless, other than just to have another JL vs JJ thread on the Rant.

JJ had the 2nd highest completion % in the SEC last year.

Shame on your bringing facts into this.

That's if he can throw it to them instead of the other team's DB's.

I mostly agree. I think a lot of the talking up of Lee is designed to try and build some faith in the backup amongst the fan base. But, it also could mean that the coaching staff is willing to make a change if the offense is mired like last season.

Jefferson's the starter. I think he's got the ability, but it's important for the backup to continue to press.

J Lee stares down his WR's so bad I could jump on the field from the stands and pick the ball off

In the first drive against UGA in 08 my wife started screaming (she's a UGA fan) int, int before he released the ball that was promptly returned for a touchdown.

We were behind the play and couldn't see his eyes but his head NEVER turned from the direction of the route and it was so obvious to everyone in TS where he was throwing the ball.

I have been proud of Lee's tenacity and ability to get back up but he is sooooooo dangerous for us.

He's a good back up but let's hope JJ stays healthy.

Jarrett Lee is already scary. I nearly have a heart attack whenever he gets on field.

I swear to God I've been waiting with bated breath to see this post since this thread opened. You never disappoint, brother. I'm sorry that it targets one of our players, but this is probably the top recurring post on TD.

I love the ones that say "give him another chance! let him redeem himself!"

I guess they didn't watch the la tech game

jeffersons play in 2009 was a rollercoaster, but it was NEVER that bad. that just became ridiculous.

oh sorry, I must have forgotten the part where a 3rd string freshman (behind RP and Hatch) QB was supposed to light it up after being thrown in before he was ready.

Awesome point broseph
