Ok, just so you're clear on this.... You're referring to PEYTON Manning, of which played at Tennessee. ELI Manning who is currently playing with the NY Giants, played at Ole Piss. Just some advice, make sure you know what you're talking about before you post.... not being an arse, just helping. But I still say JJ will start. Lee will be a solid backup

gtfo

I haven't read the whole thread, but to compare Lee (who was one of the worst QBs in college football last year) to the number 1 pick in the NFL draft is fricking retarded.

Stafford was a true freshman. In his second year at Georgia he was pretty good. Lee didn't see the field his first year at LSU and in his second year as a redshirt freshman he was a complete failure.

Exactly he had a full season of doing nothing after his high school season ended.
Was still a freshmen making freshmen mistakes, unlike Herb Tyler, Russell, and even Flynn during their freshmen seasons they had upper classmen as backups who could step in when they were sruggling in games.

Lee had better numbers first year as starters..
Lee's numbers are on bottom

Thing is they are both freshmen, JL can improve or he can stay how he is. Stafford actually improved his play to become the #1 pick.

Not saying JL can do that but he can improve enough to become a very ood LSU player. If nothing else a verygood insurance policy in case something happens to JJ.

by leaving out the obvious glaring statistic that makes JLee as starter so frightening. INTs for TDs.

The int for td's stat is bullshite. Yes, he threw an int. The td part is the fault of everyone on the offense for not tackling. Yes, when you play offense you should still know how to make a freaking tackle. That is the bottom line.

Yeah! Damn that LSU offensive line for not chasing down the DE's who intercepted JL's screen passes 3 yards behind the line of scrimmage!

Lazy frickers!

If Lee is the QB for LSU this year, then y'all best be able to run the ball. Here's why. He doesn't have the arm to make the 12 - 15 yard out from the far hash. Most SEC Db's will pick it unless there's a blown coverage. Therefore, the routes which a receiver(s) on the wide side of the field are restricted. SEC D coordinators will see this too.
major piggie fail. That's his only good route that he throws, along with the fade. It's the over the middle routes and slants that he can't throw, a mainstay of the LSU offense. He's an interception machine and shouldn't be asked to make those throws. If he does come in, I hope we run the ball relentlessly.

Don't be stupid sonnyboy. That was the case on what? One or two of those INT's? Get real, sonny.

Talk about a fail

ITs not physical ability JL lacks its mental.
Throwing ball over middle of field means you must account for more people...its not uncommon for young qbs to struggle with.
JL isnt a fuking idot so to think he cant or wont improve in that area is a little niaeve, to say the least.

What the hell does THAT mean, sonnyboy?

I am not "justifying" a damn thing. I am merely stating facts. If you choose to be stupid and ignore them, then by all means, be yourself.
