I'm still waiting for anyone to produce a verifiable list of more than 5 posters on the Rant who have ever described Russell as a "dumb" QB. Of course, since no one could produce such a list in '04, '05 or '06 while he was playing here, or '07 while Flynn was playing here, or '08 while Lee was struggling so mightily, I'm not going to be surprised if no one can produce it now.

Of course, there are a certain type of people, people who are inclined to see what they expect to see in other people, people who make up their minds about certain groups or populations and won't let anything change their minds, people to whom stereotypes and generalizations substitute for honest relationships and judging people as individuals on their own merits; these are the type of people who "know" that everybody on the Rant called JaMarcus "dumb."

I don't know what "all over" means where you come from, but I sat in two different sections of Tiger Stadium while JaMarcus was QB at LSU, and I never once heard a racist comment about him in Tiger Stadium. In fact, I've hear far, FAR fewer racist comments about JaMarcus anywhere in my life than I hear complaints about such comments every year on the Rant. And when pushed on it, it's the same 3 or 4 posters that are always quoted as proof of the "pervasive racism" amongst LSU fans. Hell, we've probably got more posters on Tigerdroppings making communist comments than racist comments.

So the thread starts off basically debating whether mitchell should be in the lineup and turns into a racism debate?

Whoa this thread went from benching Mitchell to JR being dumb???? How?

i'm still waiting for the stretch of the season where JM hasn't produced.
