Again, I will ask this question: Why is Jared Mitchell in the lineup? Also, why is he a 1st round draft choice? He may be fast in the outfield but he's TERRIBLE at the plate!

It's really not hard to grasp...

You can't teach speed and you can't teach power... The rest of baseball can be taught.

That was part of the sarcasm to the ones who always cry racism. C'mon, you still haven't caught that one?

Actually irrelevant, I just found it funny you were wrong, told wrong so then began the "Papa M" comment and "geek" comments to combat how wrong you were. You no longer had an argument that was valid so instead of just not responding you decided to deflect the criticism and attack others. I entertained it for awhile and got bored with it last night, this unfortunately will be my only post entertaining it today.

douche! nice first post... F.A.I.L. Jared got on base more than once last night btw. He had some shots. The kid can hit RH pitchers just not LH pitchers plus this is his first year of really just focusing on baseball only. He's got the tools.

This thread is s illustrative of the lack of intelligence of RANTARDS. CROW anyone? So many amateurs making stupid judgments concerning the pros.

Simmer down. Don't get insulted so easily. You don't get subtle jokes, its okay. I went over your head and you got worked up over nothing. There was nothing to be proved wrong about. Just wanted JM to come around and start hitting like he did last night. Stop worrying about it so much princess or you'll get a headache. Ooops, there I go calling names again.

The vast majority of first round picks are chosen for their potential.

There are very few players chosen in the first round who are ready to play even a reserve roll in the majors.

Exactly. It is fair criticism. He is a tremendous athlete and should certainly be in the lineup, but he has struggled so far in the CWS in key situations. Glad to see him hit yesterday.

I'm not gonna lie, I was praying that he got the bat off of his shoulder. After the last ab that he battled to get the line drive and ended up on 3rd, I'll never doubt his batting again.......I just ate crow

eta:and the double were nice too!

The entire 1 GAME of the CWS before yesterday. So a guy goes 0-fer in the first game and he deserves to be benched. Nice.

You obviously replied to the wrong person, since I don't think he should be benched at all.

Way to go mate, you thought of something new so you had to edited your original ignorance to add more.
I am waiting for you to sprout the proverbial "meet me here and I'll show you"
or
"I was the greatest athlete ever"

both of those are classic

He didn't say he should be benched. Geez, some you get so defensive of every little comment. I think I am going to a topic critical of Russell Shepherd before he plays a down and see what happens then.

Now that one is a classic. I was thinking if I kept poking and prodding I would get that one out of you. Way to cutoff a good laugh for me this morning. You are getting quicker witted. Makes me feel kind of proud for ya.

You said that he had struggled in the CWS at key points so far.

WE HAD PLAYED ONE GAME!!! Ranaudo has struggled at Omaha, so let's start Buzzy Haydel on the mound next instead of him.

I never said he should be benched, which is what you said and then implied that I said. He is a phenomenal player and one of the reasons we made it this far. He slumped for a few games but had a great night last night. He deserves first round status IMHO.
