You’re right it is a small sample size but dropping 5 of 6 targets in the NFL is unacceptable regardless of the circumstances. And it’s not just the drops or % it’s the way he’s dropping them. For example not wanting to get hit on a pass where he isn’t even moving just cant happen when you’re not an established player. I think he’ll pick it up once the real games start but no matter where you’re drafted or by who no franchise is gonna tolerate it if it continues. The NFL has had a lot of top 10 WRs play their way out of the league fast doing what Chase is doing now.

Well, jerry rice had a horrible rookie season with the 49ers and was dropping passes left and right...until he finally calmed down and played like he was capable and became the best wr to ever play. Chase will be fine. We know he has great hands.

Sewell got a worse grade than Chase for his preseason from CBS. He’s been garbage too.
