The medallion or whatever it was is supposedly the logo of a record label
incorrect BS. The elephant in question is a trademarked item, used specifically by the UoA. If a record label had also attempted to use it, it wouldnt have taken about 24 hrs before that cease and desist letter would have arrived.
Therefore, JR wearing the Bama chain was his way of digging at LSU. Although he went to LSU to get an NFL, he was in actuality still a Bama Boy.

So all the crap he got, and then Flynn takes a less talented team to the BCS the next yr, all the while setting offensive records... didnt piss JR off, a bit?

and then Flynn did his best not to cost the preseason #2 the BCS the next yr, all the while setting offensive records... didnt piss JR off, a bit?
fixed...and exactly what records did flynn set?

The record label might not be that high profile and the university might not know of it. Or know that the medallion is that of a record label.
Have you talked to JR about this or are you going to assume it did?

if he was so dead set on "getting back at LSU" why was he hanging out on the field in the first place? he was in new orleans for a few days before the game hanging out with players and coaches at the hotel and he was cutting up with players on the field before the game, very anti-LSU of him i know.

I wouldn't say less talented, and we crawfished our way into that Championship Game with a Pitt loss.
Not saying we didn't deserve a BCS game....

I agree. He was just dressing like many 21 year olders.

Imagine how awesome we would have been that year if Flynn was anywhere near as good as JR was.

Ok, so you agree that even though we don't know JR, but we could make a judgment about his public appearance " dressed like a goofball".
Based on the goofyball appearance, is it fair to say that other fans agree with you and might further conclude other things about JR...fair or not ...but it's the impression he is giving off on National TV? Make sense?
Because people form opinions on appearance in business, it's not much different of how fans view a professional athlete and their impression of how they dress, talk etc off the field... It matters...
Goofball does NOT build confidence or express leadership skills...and that duck ended up being a duck

Why does it bother you if he doesn't have a connection with lsu?
Doesn't. Not at all, which is why I don't give a damn what happens to him from here on out. He WAS a Tiger.
quote:
He doesn't owe lsu anything and if he doesn't want to have a connection then so be it, it's not a big deal. I somewhat understand the negative light it casts on lsu, but that's just because it's fresh
Never said he did owe LSU anything. JR's affiliation with LSU ended when he declared for the draft IMO. Great former Tiger. But he ceased to be a tiger at that point, he is no longer connected to the program, his choice.

It doesnt matter what he wears, he can throw a ball further than any other human being ever. Thats whats important.

Well it does matter that he has a strong arm. Nobody ever got drafted because they wore a suit well.

Thats pretty damn impressive. And we know Green Bay thinks highly of him. If Rodgers wasnt one of the best, he might be playing by now.
