The only DB that should go ahead of Adams is adoree Jackson.

I don't really know how much in the running LSU was for Jackson, but I know we were a 'finalist' of sorts, but could you have imagined had he ended up at LSU? White, Adams, Thomas and Jackson in one secondary may have been the best of all-time.

He's gone and he should go...you don't get that many years to earn the big bucks and he'll get them right off the bat.

If he feels like the team will compete for a natty maybe that's more important than getting paid one year sooner.

Getting that second contract at 26 or 27 isn't going to matter either. If he excels then he'd be getting paid regardless.

OHHHH YES, he's gone. If he's thinking about staying....he needs someone to slap him. Adams has been an awesome Tiger, and deserves that top 10 pick.

ask much as id selfishly love for him to come back it would be a horrible decision on his part to come back. Coach O should really try and encourage him to go into the NFL so he can represent LSU asap

Push him may not be the best words but encourage him to go. This shows a couple things.

1. He is really truly looking out for the kids best interest on the team. Not being selfish. This will trickle down to the rest of players.

2. 2 top 10 draft picks possible 1 in the top 5 will be good "marketing" for LSU in next years draft.

3. Another lights out DB in NFL will further the DBU moniker.

Personally I think LSU looks the best when they are winning games...Jamal coming back give us the best chance to do that...or maybe i'm dumb

You're just being selfish here. When you are a potential top 10 draft pick you don't come back. Nor should your coach try and get you to come back. As a player theres not much more value you could add by coming back.

No, I am not saying he should come back. He definitely is not coming back. He definitely should not come back. I would place a substantial wager that he won't. I am just debating this odd point that you seem to be making that O should "push him out" because somehow LSU is better off with Jamal Adams going pro than they are if he were to stay.

Adams has a top 10 grade

in no world should anyone try and convince him of coming back

He would need to:
1. Not go to the NFL
2. Switch positions to either RB or QB; AND
3. Put up record-breaking numbers OR lead us to the CFP
