Does he room with the basketball player from Baton Rouge that signed with South Carolina?

Next construction needs to be a football player facility/prison. Let's just lock them up until the season starts so they can't get in trouble.
There may be some legal/civil rights issues with this, but I'm willing to sign off on it.

I deal with this a lot. I try to get the law enforcement people to exercise judgment, which in some cases is asking for the impossible. If the victim seems in a position where she could be in danger, arrest. If the parties are not in such a position, like the bad guy has gone home and is asleep in bed, give him a misdemeanor ticket. But most of the time, they just arrest the guy, and often the claims turn out to be not as originally presented or the victim wants the charges dropped.
Simple battery is a misdemeanor. If he injured her significantly, all this changes and the charge is second degree battery, requiring an arrest.
If this was simple battery, I would expect some sort of internal discipline. I would caution folks to not judge this guy either way until more facts come out.
but according to the article:
quote:
Investigators made an appointment to speak with Mills on June 10th at 5:00pm, which Mills missed. Mills also did not answer the investigators phone call nor return a voice mail left by the investigator. A felony warrant was issued for his arrest for 2nd Degree Battery later that day.

at least we got our offseason arrest over with in June instead of having to wait until August

That sounds really weird. He punched her because she was leaving?

I mean, what a weird story.

He's being charged with second-degree battery.

Yeah that makes little to no sense at all.

Is there a statute of limitations on this regarding how long you have to file charges? I would assume if he just got arrested, and it happened last month, she'd probably be healed up unless he just mashed her pretty hard...

Making room for the next guy.

And she just accidentally knocked on MMs door? I hope the young lady is fine, but this is a wierd set of circumstances. Did she know him? Been there before? Stalking him in some way? Ex gf?
Lots of questions surrounding this very wierd exchange
