Uh no, no it is not like that everywhere. USC just lost 5 games and people in L.A. are done talking about it for now. Meanwhile our fanbase is talking about offloading Les Miles over a two loss season.

Sure they do. They sell out the L.A. Coliseum every Saturday. But they have perspective. Football is for entertainment. It's not life. If they aren't winning they won't come.
They just want a team that can compete for the national championship. They aren't ready to off their coach for losing 2 games a year.

I can't believe that people think Miles is the only coach we can pay nearly $4 mil a year to win 10 games a year at LSU.
I also can't believe that Arkansas apparently thinks he can have the same success there that he has had here.

Trust me, I am as big an LSU fan as there is. I also know that we should have been a .500 team this year at best. The wins came because of Miles and his staff. Some people here don't remember how bad we were for many years. Coaching makes or breaks any team that's why Miles will have a target on his back. Too bad some folks here can't see that. Saban proved it and Miles will too if we are not careful. I would hate to see the man go.
Worse yet, I think some of the kids would follow him as well. It's easy to switch and commit somewhere where you like the guy who recruited you.

This is laughable if he was at Arkansas. He won't have the access to the talent at LSU and he needs great talent to compete with the Xs and Os coaches. He won't sniff a Western division title at Arkansas. Petrino was definitely a scumbag but he is a better coach than Miles and he couldn't win the SEC there.

I think we can agree that winning 10 games a year is the highest standard that we can expect from a coach.
So if we already have one that can do that, why let him go and pay another coach what we would've paid Miles, when we don't know for sure that he'll deliver the same results?
