But his question was, was it the staff’s decision? 
Of course it was. There’s nothing wrong with that. They just wanted to get him on the field, and he didn’t really have a position until midway through last season.

And there were numerous articles when he broke out last year about him not understanding the hybrid safety position Aranda wanted him to use. Jacoby admitted such as did the coaches
