He's not from LSU but I saw Eric Kettani got cut by the Patriots. Being ex-Navy I was hoping he could make the team after all the hoopla he's been through. Guys from the academies don't make a team too often.

Hopefully Hester will get picked up, if nothing else he's a good blocker on passing downs and can catch as well...

He kind of sucked the whole preseason.
Josh McD likes the FB position and i could see Hester as a fit actually. BB loves versitile players

I didn't see him play any just hate to see him get cut.
And yeah Bill likes versatile players and knows LSU guys, I don't know what their situation is.

Zero FBs but 5 runningbacks. its doubtful because they like Bolden so much but its a fit

If Hester was on the active roster for 5 years, he at least qualifies for the pension. At 55 years old (assuming he didn't play again), he'll likely get about $1800/ month for the rest of his life. This is in addition to his SS (if that system is not wiped out). He also qualified for the 401K after his 4th year, where the NFL matched $2 for every $1 that he put in. That's a decent head start for a guy under 30 years old. I think he'll make a roster somewhere for another couple years though.

Guy just looks like a Patriot to me,not the biggest,fastest or most athletic,but smart and tough.Willing to do his job and just fit in where needed,seems like a fit to me,if they've got room

I want the Lions to sign him. We could use a good pass catcher and blocker out of the backfield, ST too. After the inevitable Kevin Smith, Best, and Leshoure injuries, Hester and Keiland Williams could be our top 2 backs
