I've tried for 2 years to get an answer on the bye week and Bama

Who makes the choice on this? It cant be lsu, because they have to see that this has been nothing but bad results for us.

It is LSU. BAMA's biggest complaint for a decade is most every team uses their BYE before them. The school chooses it.

The school chooses their bye week. Yes the sec schedule is known far in advance- think of it as the template. Each team builds the rest of their season around the sec schedule.
Next year we have two open dates and I love that idea. I don’t know who exactly planned it that way but It’ll def work to our advantage.

I dont care about our bye week I just dont want coach prick saban to have one before us. You cant beat that damn midget with 2 weeks to prepare

Yes, all SEC teams can basically request when they want their bye week. If LSU chose to move the bye week, Bama is still leaving their bye week where it is. So we would have a SEC opponent the week before Bama while they would be on a bye.

We both have bye weeks again next year. Both teams also have two bye weeks during the year around the same time

The bye week has nothing to do with them beating us. They’re at an all time great level right now.

Don't get use to it, it's just the way the calendar works next fall. There is an extra week and everyone gets 2 byes.

Regardless of calendar, I like the idea of going to 10 conference games, 1 P5, 1 G5, and two bye weeks. Every single year.

Each school can schedule their bye week. Saban started taking it every year before the LSU game, after a couple of years of it, Les decided to do the same. Bama/LSU is almost always the most physical game either team will face during the season.

I would choose a bye before Florida if it were up to me.

No at all. But we are essentially wasting the bye week by having it then. We don’t win following the bye (due to Bama, not the bye).
So utilize the bye instead. Put it before Fla or even after Bama to heal wounds.

Wish Bama didn't have one before us, that's the bigger issue (for LSU).

I don’t want that bye. I wish they’d change it up. I don’t want it hyped up like crazy. They often have a bye too and makes it that much harder going against Saban and two weeks prep for our O..

Bama has known for almost a decade that the LSU / Bama is always the toughest and has the biggest implications in regards to both's futures.
Extra time to rest, biggest game IRT recruiting, and game planning..... the problem is we both take the same week off so it winds up being a push.
