I know we have not played great teams but its refreshing to see the offense execute better. Its clear to everyone that Miles needed to go even if his successor isnt as successful in the next few seasons. I hope our administration doesnt go cheap when hiring this offseason. The only way we can compete with Alabama is to spend money on coaches and upgrade facilities. Our administration needs to go all in with our next coach.
I truly believe lsu has a bright future ahead.

Our facilities are just fine, thank you. Miles was the problem and we are fixing that. Since Asa an was hired, LSU has never gone cheap. LSU has had a great program for the last 15 years and whoever is our new head coach will be greeted by talented football players. We aren't rebuilding, we reload every year.

Who's your pick for HC Rick? Honestly curious.

You're not on the O bandwagon are you?

Have an upvote Rickdaddy...& I doubt they go cheap: best man for the job.

The silver lining with Miles being fired midseason is we get an audition period with Coach O before having to make a final decision

Facilities become outdated quickly. You can argue that our facilities arent top 3 /4 in the sec.

And? Are you saying lsu is immune to making a bad hire?

Yes we have.

No we dont. There have been numerous sec programs with more players drafted than lsu, in the last 2 years.

I have said that i would cut off a pinky if it meant we got Herman to sign a 10 year contract. After him its jimbo.

I hope like hell he has a great rest of the season but i think lsu should do better than hiring a position coach for its next HC

Didn't enjoy the first half much. But the second half was great medicine! Fun to watch all that talent perform, and all within a pedal to the metal game plan. Geaux Tigers!

Is it 'pedal to the metal', as in pushing the pedal all the way down to the floor, which is made of metal, or is it 'metal to the pedal', which implies a heavy force on that which controls acceleration?

I would be comfortable with either but would like to use the correct adage in the future.

(A less likely scenario is 'meddle to the petal', which would indicate someone is messing with your flowers.)

Chicken Little personafide in Rickdaffy.

LSU finally gets our upperclassmen to stay in school and come back but Rickdaffy types are complaining that LSU hasn't led the SEC in NFL draftees in the last year or two. Damn, do some of you ever think? Or, do you just sit around trying to find some negative to obsess about? Just stupid.

Facilities are rated top notch with Oregon in the country and the best in the SEC per several sports publications. In fact the NFL thought LSU's were a good template to use for NFL practice and operation facilities.

Yes. It's been a fun 2 games. Players are enjoying it too. They mentioned 'opening up the playbook' in the post-game interviews.

The weight room was just updated.
The Ops Center opened in 04 or 05 and has been updated.
The Cox Academic Center for Athletes is fine.
The locker rooms were recently updated.
The nutrition center is on its way.

Yes, there are newer facilities but LSU's are fine. Saban had the vision for the Ops Center and Cox. He opened a lot of eyes about facilities and infrastructure.

A bigger threat to LSU in terms of recruiting is our fans. How can recruits be impressed when the stadium starts to empty after halftime?
