I've never seen Tiger fans as confident in a big game as this SECCG

I've been following LSU Football since I was kid in the late 50s and I can't ever recall us being this sure of an outcome.
The team itself seems to have a laser focused, business like approach and has a swagger that is more self assured than cocky.
It's a little scary. (in a good way)

I just can't see ga scoring enough points. Hell, I could be wrong.

Interesting dynamic. The players take on the personality of their coach and that trickles all the way down to the fans.
Dig it, brothas.

I was too. I was at both the SECCG and Superdome and it was awesome. In 03 I thought we had improved a great deal offensively since we played UGa in September. I was optimistic vs OU but not like today.
I was confident in 11 as well but always worried about JJ in a tight game.

We have our leader and we’re ready to follow him anywhere

Good news given the fans are playing the game

I agree, I'm as confident as I can ever remember. I just think this is a great matchup for us.
Still gotta go out and do it, but I'd be shocked if we don't win comfortably.

I’m more optimistic than I’ve ever been, but still slightly nervous.
I just think Burrow won’t allow this team to lose.

You’ve never seen an offense like the one we have on the field today

The absolute only thing that gives me pause is the fact that everyone is so confident. Kind of silly isn't it?
Your point is valid though. Joe's confidence has been contagious it seems.

Not exactly the point of the thread asshat! Apparently you're not bright enough to understand that.
Oh yeah, I mentioned in the post that the players confidence and approach is part of what fuels my optimism.

This game won't be a blowout
The UGA defense is legit

#2 vs #4 but you would think it’s #1 vs #15.

Agreed.
Although I was damn confident going into 2011 against UGA as well. That team went through a murderer’s row and had one game decided by less than two touchdowns.
Mathieu was on a Heisman warpath, the defense was a bunch of crazed dogs that would make LT proud, the OL and run game were mauling people until they quit, and the win over Alabama in Tuscaloosa made it seem like we were a team of destiny.
Very similar vibes going into that SECCG as today.
