Better than incomplete education with no degree or knowledge after getting cut from the practice squad

That doesn't compute. He can't stay at LSU because his coaches and recruiter are no longer here so he'll go to a completely different school that has new coaches AND system as a result? So he should go to the NFL with different coaches? It's all about chasing the Money Ball and EGO - plain and simple. Always has been and always will be.
I don't see why not - in that instance, he at least gets to choose who his coaches are and not just have a new group cast upon him. And of course he might already have decent relationships with other coaches from his time being originally recruited.

It's arrogant of you to so forcefully declare a blanket besmirching of the character of the people you don't even know.

3 years. Bring in some guys that went early and it didn’t work. There are plenty of them. Get your degree. Build character. And do these two things for yourself. Flott should stay he could make millions by doing so. Add ten pounds and move up three rounds.

I look at the same thing and say, ‘get your money now while you can’. There’s no time limit on getting a college degree. I get it for guys who are day 3 picks to an extent but if you’re a day 1 guy it’s silly to stay, day 2 guys should stay only if their trajectory leads one to believe that have a good shot at moving to day 1 or their position group is incredibly strong that year.
