I agree. Yes the team did have shortcomings that put them in this position but that is why they didn't deserve a host site. This team absolutely belongs in the tourney and while u can always point to had the done this had they done that the bottom line was they did enough to warrant a bid and were completely snubbed. This might be one of the worst snubs of a deserving team ever.

One of the worst snubs? I'd say let's wait until we see how the west teams do in their regionals. It just may be that the whole west is down and we just plain sucked this year. We have almost zero quality wins in what may be the worst the west has been in a long time.

What's interesting to me is that several posters want to assign blame to coaching or players, or both. I think that both the coaches and the players are just fine. We lost a number of one run games this year. Normally, we expect to win most of those. This year we didn't. But, this is the SEC. Think about that. Look at the national rankings.
LSU fans make reservations in Omaha before the season begins. There is no shortage of expectations. And, that's a good thing. I think LSU will be fine.

This is the standard of LSU baseball. To accept anything less, would put the Tigers in the same class of MSU, Ole Miss, or Georgia. We should be much better with no sorry arse excuses from the coach.
