Your statement assumes the guys don't like JJ due to race.
It has to be the case with some fans. Especially any fan that is a Miles supporter.

AlxTgr - not replying to you...it's just a general reply.
Seems like this thread has gone completely off the tracks. Instead of throwing the race card around - calling people racists; how about we discuss the original topic -
Maybe it's me but the word "race" doesn't appear in any part of that sentence.
Who cares what color skin a person has...they're either a good QB or they're not. Race has NOTHING to do with it.
Get over yourselves and quit f@#$ing up the thread.
Carry on.

I said that, not AlxTiger.
Do you also have trouble with recognizing who said what?
Quit trying so hard to take things out of context. We already know that you have no integrity.
Try to follow along. I can't hold your hand all of the time. AlxTiger said:

Uh, he did in this thread. His only qualification was, if they are Miles fans.
AlxTiger qualified the remark in his own post. Thus, TT cannot say something to everyone if, as AlxTiger acknowledges by his very own qualification, TT does not say it to everyone.

And what backward arse logic are you using to come to this conclusion?
I will trust that coaches who are getting paid millions know who the better QB is. JL has had his chances to win the job but hasn't. JJ brings more to the table with his running abilities and being able to escape the pocket. When JJ got sacked the JJ haters had a field day I wonder why those same posters didn't have a field day when JL was trying to catch his tail against Oregon.

Oh, thats right, you cant direct me to these racist posts without telling me about "codewords" and "subtle inference" about "how you KNOW what they really mean".
That's sad but not unexpected.
But that's okay because you like to try take things out of context and juxtapose them because you have no integrity.
I never said that you were trying to imply anything racist. You were trying to imply things about the LSU fanbase. You are wrong.
There are LSU fans who are racist. I have seen LSU fans make racist posts about Jefferson.

But they are very entertaining. I chuckle every time I read CptBengal. He tries so hard. And I've begun to notice that he really doesn't care about even trying to be logical or have integrity. He has a "whatever it takes to win" mentality when it comes to arguing on the board.
It's absolutely adorable in one so young and dumb.
ETA: Now back the topic of the thread.

Neither one of them introduced the race discussion to this thread.
That was the troll that has repeatedly spewed the race BS on this board, and who is now visibly absent from this discussion.
I'm at fault for calling him out on it- and this getting sideways. But I agree, lets get back on topic here, if there is anything more to discuss regarding the OP.

I like the fact that we're not afraid to call the same play 2 plays in a row.
Then flip it, and run it a couple of more times in the opposite direction (particularly in the 4th quarter against NSU).

quote:When has JL had his chances to win the job, at least in the last two seasons? The coaching staff seems to generally make it clear who the starter is maintain that for stability unless the guy is really not getting it done, and although the backup may come in for some snaps, it's hardly looked at as a chance to "win the job".
I will trust that coaches who are getting paid millions know who the better QB is. JL has had his chances to win the job but hasn't.
And you don't know what the coaches thought about JL and his abilities, it could easily be that they thought him equal or better than JJ, but JJ was still the starter until he really screwed it up and although JJ struggled, he didn't really give the game away as much as just failed to be as reliable as they needed.

Practice and scrimmages. Also played in games.

No I don't but logic tells me the coaches made him the starter b/c they feel like he gives LSU the best opportunity to win. I seriously doubt that any coach would start someone they feel is inferior to another player.

How impressive! We all know the OC's thought was -- "I don't care how well he performed, JJ is still better!" -- and he tried to use some rhetoric to conjugate this pathetic -- "thank god our coaching issues are resolved"
No, thank god we have a passing qb back in the game. Signed -- Tenn / Florida

You made a good point, but my counterpoint is that, for many reasons stability among them, when it comes to QB, the best player is often not the starter, as long as the starter isn't horrible.
IMO, JJ was the starter and had been for many games over a couple of seasons, so it was his job to lose regardless of how good they may have thought Lee was.

And IMO he played bad enough to lose it. CLM and GC had so many opportunities to replace him with JL. I can't imagine any coach sticking with JJ the way he played if they really thought JL would do better. I think JL looked good coming off the bench and maybe he wouldn't have been as comfortable starting. He hasn't looked real comfortable this year as the starter but has played well.
Thursday will answer more questions about JL. State is going to try to force us to pass and I believe will blitz JL til he burns them. I think he will burn them.
You are right about CLM being loyal to his starter. W/O QB being injured he sticks with him.
