In front of my TV at my home in Colorado (ESPN Gameplan) with a cold Heineken in my hand and my neighbor along for the ride. His 2 boys, ages 10 and 12, are in BR with their grandparents to see their first LSU game in person ever. I can't wait to talk to them next week to find out how much they enjoyed it.
I remember my first game in Death Valley: 1969 LSU vs Auburn. George Bevan blocked an Auburn extra point to secure a 21-20 victory over the Plainsmen and future Heisman Trophy winner Pat Sullivan.
BTW, I did say the "Plainsmen" because that's what Auburn was known as in the 1960s and 1970s before they started calling themselves the "Tigers".
