What is up,with projecting 9 and 3 seasons. We finished 6th in the country and are ranked 4th going into 2019. For those on hear that say Joe Burrow save Orgeron. Orgeron recruited him.

Orgeron is not responsible for the dumpster fire our program was in 2014, 15 and 16. In the SEC that does not turn around over night.

2014 was certainly one of Miles’ worst seasons, but 2015 was 9-3 and would have been 10-3 but for McNeese being canceled. So if that’s a dumpster fire, how is O’s 10-3 effort in 2018 such a positive?

And O was also responsible for two losses in the 2016 season, not to mention he was recruiting coordinator and assistant head coach.

So you're saying great coaches don't occasionally lose to significantly inferior opponents?

Of course not, they all do but the Troy loss is not the same as UAB (or Saban losing to ULM first year at Alabama) because the circumstances of the program were vastly different. It’s not the unforgivable sin some here have made it to be but it was a pretty bad much more comparable to Miami Ohio. At least both Troy and Miami were good teams those years.

ETA Saban also bounced back and beat top Tenn the next week

Noticed you didn't bother to address Arnsparger being in the Top 10 every year and losing to Miami of Ohio in 1986.

That’s a better comp to Troy (see above) and for the sake of accuracy we were ranked in the top 10 going into that game after betting A&M but were ranked in the teens mostly. It was also a different era and LSU wasn’t nearly as strong a program as it is now

So... Nick Saban lost to UAB in his 1st year. Bill Arnsparger lost to Miami of Ohio in his 3rd year. What's your point? That good coaches sometimes lose to inferior opponents? It happens to the best.

Well the good coaches also win the conference by their third year. We'll see what happens.
