I don’t care as much where they are ranked right now as much as I am at the end of the season.

Rankings - especially in basketball - are about as meaningless as it gets. Women's hoops has NET and Kenpom and all that stuff too, that's how these teams are measured these days.

They fawned all over KM at Baylor but it's been a little different at LSU, so far.

Yup this is 100% true, quite frankly LSU has gotten high rankings this year and a lot of buzz because they all have much respect for Kim as a coach. LSU has faced much better teams lately (not saying much with the OOC) but they have looked really good so far.
But none of it matters. Just keep winning and it will work itself out
