Other than college seniors who have zero leverage, for 90% of the players drafted, their signing bonus will account for most of the money they will ever make on professional baseball. And very few good players improve their draft position by coming back plus they are one year older. MLB teams love younger, talented, raw prospects more than older, polished but less talented players.
