It starts (and will always start) with the lines.

O line is soft
D line can't get pressure with 4
As much as we want to bitch about a million other things, especially with how college football is played now, one thing has never changed: you will not win games unless you are good to great on the o line and d line.
Switching from a 3-4 to a 4-3 this year was fricking stupid on eds part. He doesn't have the players to run it, even if Shelvin came back it wouldn't work, hes a fricking NT.
O line is another thing, we scripted plays to hide issues last year in pass pro but we had good run blockers. This year we're doing neither and it shows.
Fix the lines and we can get back to winning 10+ a year. It ain't hard to figure out why we suck this year.

Blown assignments and total confusion everywhere. Looks like a pick up team playing the Saints.

We have 1 OL who can play in the NFL- Ed Ingram.
Shanahan sucks and not FBS caliber. Hines is fat and not good. Deculus is ok but was the weak link last year and isn’t any better. Wire is better suited as a backup or a guard.
And somehow 280lb Charles Turner is the backup at basically all 5 spots.
OL is an unmitigated disaster this year.

We barely have 2 players that can play lb and you want 4 out there or another safety ? Our dL has not been great but not terrible either. The problem is the lbs’s, safeties, our coverage schemes, and the players inabilities to do their responsibility.

We have a Southland conference quality OL We only have 1 OL commit. He is good but only 280lbs.
Bama has the #1 and #2 tackles, the #1 center and #2 guard. You hav to at least compete in the trenches.
Joe Brady and Burrow showed up and gave Ed that miracle.
We will suck again next year. With a free year of eligibility we should be stacked at every position, but that’s not the case. We will also lose 4 scholarships.
