quote:so you are saying that because they haven't played a tough schedule this year, that their D has gotten worse?
right, cause no team changes from year to year unless they have been proven

no, quit making shite up, a defense hasnt been proven as the best in the land until they have played someone....bottom line. LSU proved themselves against GA Saturday by the defense flipping a 180 and doing great. Florida has not seen a tough offense yet this season, not saying LSU is the best, but who has Floridas D been challenged by to make that assumption?

Because they saw great offenses last year and that Charlie Strong is one of the best D coordinators in the college game. Trust me, this is a DAMN FINE defense LSU will be playing Saturday. The one thing going for LSU is that they have been in Street Fights all season for the most part and that has a very teachable aspect to it that stats do not mention.

Well if Florida's D has to see a great offense to be deemed great...they won't be great after this week either

Maybe bullet points will help you to comprehend:
* Florida returns its ENTIRE 2-deep chart on defense. Every one of them.
* Florida defense was best in the country last year.
* Conventional wisdom - players improve as they have more time in the system, both individually and as a team
* Florida's defense is still in the top 2 in the country this year. The competition hasn't been as strong yet, but there's no indication of a dropoff since last year
You ask what Offense that the Gators D has played to make "that assumption"? What have you seen from the Gators that gives you reason to believe that the same entire defense from last year aren't as good or better than they were last year?

That "thing" that LSU has been doing so far, or that "thing" that LSU fans WISH LSU had been doing so far?
That "thing" that LSU has been doing so far will get the Tigers beaten on Saturday, at home, on national prime time television.

Les is no Nutt
Thank god for that
This week's game is what Nutt is good for. Beat the top ranked team and keep your job / get job offers for the next year.

that Florida D is still the best in the country whether Catholic High or the Saints were on their schedule....their talent didn't go away because they haven't been challenged
BAMA has the best D in the country IMO
