i know a shite ton(not really, but some) LSU fans who bought season tickets to the cajuns last year just to have a ticket to that game. that was one of the reasons there were as many as there were....

and obligatory "it was just a mid week game"
i dont think you would see as many if it was for the post season.

600 seems high for a super regional, especially a program like UCLA who can only fit about 1600 in their stadium. thats almost half.

What is seating capacity in laffy? We already know the fences were brought in a few feet hence the hr explosion over the past few years

And they have to be located between 1st and 3rd. Some Ragin Cajun season ticket holders will have to GTFO for the LSU faithful.

if that is the case, there is no way in hell that number is 600. i could definitely see 200 being the designation but not 600

The max attendance at The Tigue, with standing room only, is about 5k. The LF & RF lines have no room for portable bleachers due to cooking clubs, bull pen, and batting cages. The outfield is lined heavily with dense trees. The demand would be a shite show, as Broham stated. Then again there's no one to blame but ourselves.

you could see something constructed over the batting cages and bullpen down the first base line past the cooking club.

emphasis on the word "could"

ULL has to prove they can beat a good team and not brag about beating us 4-1 on a rain shortened game as the highlight of their season

I don't think they are bragging at all that game. But they did beat Ala 2 of 3 and swept Miss State. Not good enough?

Doubt they could build anything over cages. There really is room in the outfield even with the trees, but this is something that would probably have to have already been planned for. It could fit several smaller seating sections in the outfield. It's not that dense with several openings of 15 yards between trees.

They beat Alabama, great. But if they get swept this weekend by LSU, after getting swept by Florida, they aren't something to brag about anymore.

They have loss 7 of their last 9.

So they're going to send teams from Buffalo, NY and North Carolina to Louisiana when there's sites in Charlottesville, Louisville, Bloomington, Columbia and Oxford?

The projection has Clemson playing @ Columbia so UNC couldn't play there. Virginia is hosting in Charlottesville. The NCAA doesn't put teams from the same conference in the same regional.
