Crowton called the plays while he was here. He screwed the pooch when Lee started. After that, Kragthorpe was hired. When he was diagnosed Stud was promoted and the offensive gameplanning was a very collaborative effort with Stud calling the in game plays based on the gameplan.

Cam has been in total control since he's been here and will continue to be. It has nothing to do with having a mobile QB.

U'l have a lot more faith in Les than I do. Once he decides who he likes at any position, that is it JJ anyone??? I just hope every one gets a chance.

I just don't know how anyone could possibly say Rettig/Jennings are better because we haven't really seen them play

Its doesnt matter if we think one is better than the other, it matters what the coaches think. Theyre also the ones who saw enough of Rivers to know he wasnt going to cut the mustard.

So your personal opinion is essentially when the offense sucks, it's Miles calling plays and when it's good it's the OC. You state this opinion with no facts to back this up and wonder why you get accused of being a Miles hater. Who was calling plays from 2005-2008?

Have you ever given him credit for strong offensive or defensive performances or does he only actually coach when we lose? It's amazing the man can keep a job. Hell, it seems like all responsible for allowing him to keep his job should be fired. Oh wait that's a ridiculous stretch just like predicting Rettig will transfer now because a redshirt Junior who will never see the field decides to try his hand elsewhere.

The fact that we can go up tempo air it out to a slow down ground and pound should tell you that our offense is wide open, hard to game plan against and that we can mix and match personnel. Our coaching staff is great and when the defense matured we'll be in good hands and lots of fun seasons to come.

Do you really believe that Stud was calling the plays when Crowton left?

yes, he'd been an OC of some good offenses at Bowling Green, it's not far-fetched.

The playbook was pretty much identical to Crowton's last couple years to Studrawa.

nobody said we needed to overhaul Crowton's playbook. there was some question as to what he called situationally, and the need for better production/ development at the QB position. that's where Krag came in.

Yup, looked like Les was calling the plays again, instead of Cameron. I don't understand the hard on Les has for Option style quarterbacks. Historically, we are terrible at running the option. I am sure jennings and harris may be throw first QB's, but that isn't going to stop les from using them as a 3rd running back.

I can see the Jefferson years all over again. Hopefully we can rely solely on our defense to bail us out, as we did then.

Can Cameron ran the option at Indiana. Just because we ran the option doesn't mean Miles is calling plays. shite we ran the option under saban.

WHY DOES JJ HAVE TO COME UP?

He's the failed experiment that has become the standard for measuring all dual threat QBs.

he's as in total control of the offense as any o coordinator anywhere. of course the head coach will have some input as does any head coach anywhere. But it is cam's offense and we will sink or swim with it. So far, looks like we are going to swim quite well.

Actually, I don't rule out this interpretation at all. It's not uncommon for people to resist admitting that a decision made (e.g.,Crowton, Stud) was a bad one. Miles has been criticized for vacillating on players, coaches, and obviously in game management. But I think he's very comfortable with Cameron's performance at this point. He's got the right guy now and will let him run the offense, as I see it.

I also don't see Rettig as out of the picture. It's entirely possible we will see more than one QB taking snaps in a game, depending on the situation.

No.

I'm saying you and others are idiots for getting your collective panties in a wad any time the words "mobile" "dual-threat" or "option" are uttered, and for assuming any mobile QB will devolve to JJ levels of shittiness. Willful ignorance.
