For big games, definitely not.

It will be rocking for UGA and Bama this year if we don't completely shite the bed to start the year.

A shell of it's former self.

Instead, the talk this year is 7-5 or 6-6 predictions. Baked into that prediction is LSU losing at least 3 home games. Is the Tiger Stadium mystique that far gone??

It's not like Death Valley can make up for not being a good team, but it's still every bit the advantage it has been. We just probably aren't as good a team as we have been in the past, so we naturally may lose more home games than we were when we were a perennial top 10 team.

Our home record:
2017: 5-1 (1 to Troy)
2016: 5-2 (1 to Alabama and 1 to Florida)
2015: 6-1 (1 to Arkansas)
2014: 5-2 (1 to State and 1 to Alabama)
2013: 7-0
2012: 7-1 (Prior to the Alabama loss we had won 22 straight at home dating back to 2009)

We haven't lost 3 games at home since 2008 (Alabama, Ole Miss, and UGA) and haven't lost more than 3 games at home since 1999. 2008 is the only season since 1999 we lost more than 2 home games in a season.

If we’re still in contention for a big game, it’s as lively as ever imo. It’s all the other games and the apathy after we fall out of contention (which has gotten earlier in the season over the last few years) that makes it seem tame overall.

It’ll be on fire for UGA and Bama if we start the season strong

It is now so far as I can see. That could change this year, but...
