It depends in what regards, if you mean including LSU the school, fanbase, facilities, budget,etc..as part of the equation..possibly yes.

Or as a bowl HC, or a recruiter, etc..possibly yes.

But, as a solo entity without the trappings of 500K Coordinators, 300K position coaches, etc..maybe not all 10 other HCs.

I think Mullen could be elite with all things being equal in terms of a program under his command, despite the brainfart vs LSU those two downs at the goal line not utilizing his best player to get that yard. Petrino rarely looks outwitted, Brooks seemingly maximizes what he has to work with at UK, etc..

Miles has endured two seasons with extreme inexperience at QB for the bast couple of years and the Negatigers want to pretend otherwise

Meanwhile, the Positigers will seem to insinuate that NO young QB in the entire nation can play well and have a very successful team.

Funny how that works both ways.

Very seldom do we have young QBs capable of leading teams to great, leave alone title, seasons. These QBs are heralded as future NFL stars- like Peyton Manning.

Whilst JJ could turn out to be a very good QB chances are high that he might not be the next Peyton Manning.

We don't play in a league that is friendly to young inexperienced QBs either and from the comments a few days back JJ was scared shite that he would throw an interception.

This is not about Pro or Anti Miles -merely that we cannot expect and should not have expected JJ to be the next coming of Vick and maybe Miles and the other coaches already knew this.

But as shown in flashes during the year, JJ has the skill set and now experience as well to give us a couple of great seasons in the next two years to come.

I hope that you are a young person. You probably will have to wait a few years.
Prior to Saban, winning a championship appeared to be almost impossible. Now, because of Saban the chances are slim again.

It is a common point of discussion(and accepted as a truism) on the rant that USC/Ohio State/Texas/Oklahoma would not be in the National Title hunt each year nor Win the Conference each year if they were in the SEC ->BUT SABAN is capable of doing that year in year out in the very same SEC.

Something just doesn't compute.

Forget about records, let's talk future. Petrino, beginning next year will have a team that consistently wins 10 games a year and will challenge for a West title next year and even possibly the NC. I want to state right off, that in no way am I an Arkansas homer, but only state what I consider reality. We are only losing about 5 seniors, we have the best receivers in the conf. and we have by far the best QB in the conf. And for those that think Mallet might go pro, he won't. Rookie salary cap or not. He will be back next year and if you look at our sked it is set up perfect for us. I foresee 2 problems for us; the RG, and it is not the major problem, and the D. Our D must do a complete turnaround and I am hoping they do. We should have beaten Fla and LSU this year. Damn those refs and DAMN that Tejada!!

OK I don't know why but let us forget records and talk future.

Next year we are going to be having another ridiculously talented team (based on our previous 5 years of recruiting) and new coaches that inject fresh ideas into the system.

Our QB is going to be more experienced and there is a great chance - what the heck I say 100% chance- that our offense will be much much better.

I foresee very few problems for us - and we could and should have beaten florida , bama and ole miss as well this year

Agree. We both have major changes coming and it will be a good battle up to the end. Our games against you guys are seriously great but to bad we don't play you guys in our true home.

What we need to get from the "positigers" is a list of excuses for next season. We know it will not be inexperienced QB. No Saban recruits, got experienced coordinators.

Its all on Les next year. Sink or swim. I hope he proves to be the cream of the crop, really do.

You say that like this season was a failure.

3rd in the SEC, 13th in the nation, and a New Year Day bowl IS NOT anything that needs to be excused.

We need to wake up and smell the coffee cause the days of any SEC school dominating the SEC died with the Bear. The Vols had a nice run, Auburn had a nice run, LSU has a nice run, Florida had a nice run, and Bama is having a nice run, but no one will ever own this conference and that includes Nick and Bama. imo

Heard this in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 & now 2010. What about 2014?

Considering Dec 23rd 2012 - we should go all in for next 2 years with all our players and exhaust all the possibilities. Then we should play just good and bad enough to qualify for the New Orleans or Poinsettia bowl on the 22nd or so in 2012 - so ours will be the last game anyone will see.

After that nothing is going to matter

That I hope Les will do great with his team, players, system and coaches?

I do as well.
