Since I live just outside of Nashville, I became a Titans fan(until yesterday ), I watch Kevin on every play. Dudes technique is unique. He uses angles and body positioning rather that brute force since he is going against the biggest players in the NFL. Reminds me of a matador, who directs the bull to where he will be out of the play. Probably why he has been so effective over his career in spite of being relatively small for OL. He is a team leader, calls the line signals, steps up when things get chippy, and hustles down field to block ANOTHER defender. He has become a team spokesman, so I see him on local tv a lot. He represents LSU and the Titans VERY well.

If he played any longer, he would have came out of medical school at 50 years old......

Another former LSU player does the same thing, Todd McClure. When Kevin came to LSU he weighed around the 220-230 range. Could have played anywhere on the OL. The guy played volleyball at a young age, that helped with his feet movement, balance and coordination. I had an open pass to every practice when Kevin played, he and Gabe Northern would jaw around during practice, they would keep things moving. I think Kevin was coached by Larry Zierlein while at LSU, Larry is still coaching in the Pros.

I remember when McClure was signed, many were saying that the only reason LSU signed him was because of his brother Trey. I watched him play in high school. I said that where ever they put him, he'll play well at LSU. At Central he could play a # of positions. Made All-District in Football, Baseball and Basketball. The guy has done well in the Pros and I hope he stays for a few more years. They are building a good team there in Atl. He is one of the reasons that they are doing well.

Both guys still keep up with the Tigers....

If you go with baseball, Jeff Reboulet was a guy that played a # of years after LSU. Moved around a lot, but still played a bunch.

Anyone want to guess what player Skip said that he wished he had more years to coach. It was when Skip first got to LSU. He only had him for a short time.

With Kevin Mawae, Todd McClure, and Rudy Niswinger starting in the NFL, is LSU CENTER U?

I'd like to see Helms make it into the Pros. Coach Studs will start sending a few more into the Pros. I said from day one, Barksdale will be playing on Sundays.

Being undersized, he better get with KM. Maybe a camp for centers.

I always tell people, if you want your kids to play football in college. Get them into deep snapping. No matter what position they play, make them deep snap. Get them into a linemans camp. Pete Jenkins and Jessie Daigle have one down in Nichols.
