In a pro-set yes. In a semi-spread, run and shoot yourself in the foot type of GC offense MB would suck IMO. JJ is definitely better-suited for the latter, M.O.-challenged type of O.

Barkley in LSU's offense for 2 years would have had a much better season than JJ just by the shear fact that he caught on quicker! The dude runs a farely complicated offense at SC and started outright his true freshman year which means he is a year ahead of JJ at least. JJ was nothing more than a backup plan for the Tigers at best when he was recruited and bad things happened and MADE him start. He still wasn't ready and still isn't, but our options were limited. If he is still starting his senior year, LSU is in for horrible times.

Barkley is a top 5 future NFL pick.
even as a TRUE freshman, he is more polished than Jordan Jefferson

What exactly has he done that JJ hasn't?
1. Went to USC
2. Lead USC to 4 losses
3. Had a very mediocre passing season
4. Lost to Washington
5. Went to USC

Seriously does it matter?
You can look at stats all you want but they are not running the same system, they do not have same playmakers, they do not have same coaching staff, and they do not play same conference.
Arguments like this are stupid, because you are going to get a bunch of opinions and no one is actually right. Especially on LSU board where 90% of people are homers, pose question on USC board and they will back Barkley with some pointing to Jefferson.
