People really need to calm down with this les is crap now. Lsu gave the #2 team all they could handle at their home stadium. Lsu had injuries galore that killed them during that game. Lsu has lost to the #1 and #2 teams in the nation and beaten every other team. All these people who want Les fired give a legit person who could fill in the head coaching space right now

It is definitely Miles' fault with Lee. He could have played him against Lafayette, Tulane...at least would have given him some playing time this year to make things comfortable, give him some confidence.

Maybe just a few more series than he has gotten up to this point. JJ has been getting pounded all year. It was inevitable that an injury would occur sooner or later. Yes Les is truly Les and we have to live with it. Until the O Line proves they can make that push, going for it on 4th down has made him think way too much this year. I do believe after the Florida game our offensive play calling has changed for the better, but we are still not where we should be. Will we throw the quick route over the middle ever again? I believe we are heading in the right direction with Chavis and our D will wins us more games than our Offense ever will. I get that feeling that I had a few years back when the Defense was on the field, we had our best Player on the field!...We are not done yet. If we could have given ourselves a 7-2 record at this point before the season started, most of us would have taken it and been happy Tigerfans....Lets just get the next 3 W's......

Im not sure he was prepared mentally for this game, it looked to me like he was unsure of the receivers routes, or maybe his timing was just screwed. The interception looked like a wounded duck, away from the receiver

now know is when we see the good stuff the team has been "itching to use", Like the fake punt in the chick fil a bowl that we had been itching to use that seem best suited when we were up 38-3 haha.

I'm wondering about this, but its impossible to know bc LSU has had QB issues. Another year finishing #3 and behind Bama in the West, and I'll be ready for a change.

Why didn't he just let Lee transfer this past off season if he doesn't want to play him??

That's akin to saying LSU was fortunate that Scott and Peterson suffered injuries and fortunate that the officials blew a barrel full of calls which by the way led to 11 points for 'Bama and several less scoring opportunities for LSU. The Tide were the fortunate ones on that day as evidenced by their Quarterback who said in multiple postgame interviews, "Sometimes you get the breaks."

yep. Bama missed open receivers, and LSU got the injury bug and the officiating arse-raping. Its the way it goes in football.

Here's the deal ... If Miles can put consistent 10 or 11 win teams together, eventually an SEC and/or national title will come (seems many of you forget he JUST won one). The Perrilloux situation set the program back a season or two, but was the right deicision and will help out in the long run. We have not seen the best of Miles. He has the ability to put together another championship run, the key is consistent 10 win seasons.

Is Urben truly Urben now?

I hope I am wrong but do you think we have seen the best of Urben already? Are we destined to be at best #3 in the SEC? I just don't know what to think. Officials were great all year, but we won't have Tebow next year and Coach Meyer made some questionable coaching calls also... one being that he is expecting Tebow's replacement to come in with no real playing time this year, even after Tebow suffered a concussion. Does he expect him to lead the team to a win in the season after Tebow. The guy was hidden away all year and given no game time experience and it will be alot to ask him to come into the games next year and lead the team.

There, I corrected it.

I'm content to hold off making that judgment until the end of next year. I think the Perilloux fiasco, with the mistake (which he admitted) of last year, has earned him patience by the fanbase. Now, if we collapse this year, that may get shortened. Nonetheless, I don't see a collapse coming & think that next year should be a very good year.

Yep. We gotta start beating Bama again. No excuse after this year to play second fiddle to the gumps.

I really don't get the whole Les should have played JL more argument.

In terms of actual game snaps, factoring in last year, Lee has to still be ahead of or just recently fell behind Jefferson.

Counting last year-JL had 269 pass attempts.

Before the Bama game and counting last year Jefferson had only 266. Maybe we should let Jefferson get more experience than the backup before we start worrying about get JL snaps this year.

This shite is getting so old and no sound argument will change these dumbasses opinion. Lee had an epic fail of a year last year. JJ came in and looked the part in our bowl game. In the Spring, both QB's were given a shot to see who the starter would be and JJ came out on top. He is a young QB who needs every snap he can get to make him into an elite SEC QB for the future. Lee does some things better, but overall it is obvious that he is the inferior player and should be the #2 on the depth chart. Miles is bringing along JJ exactly as he should and I applaud him for not forcing JJ into bad situations where we have two QB's that are damaged goods on our roster. Injuries hurt us against Bama and who knows what would have happended if they would have stayed in the game. Coach Miles is the man for job and is leading our program in an honorable way that makes me proud to be a fan of this program.

Being #3 in the SEC is not bad if we end up being #3 in the nation when it's all over. That's almost what it could be. We lost to the #1 and #2 teams in the nation. I'm not arguing with you, just perspective I guess.
I would rather be #1 but it anit gonna happen every year.

Given the talent parity between these 2 teams, I don't see either team "dominating" for the foreseeable future. I think it will be like the Auburn game was for the past few years - when its home, we'll probably win, in T-Town they'll probably win. This year, in my opinion, is a "down" year for us given the QB and O-line inexperience. I really think the Bama game would have been different (closer) if Peterson hadn't have cramped up & we have a more experienced QB. They have some playmakers on that team this year that LSU doesn't (read: Ingram). That doesn't mean we won't have those playmakers in the coming years. Honestly I think people are overreacting & freaking out about that loss because of Saban. I can't foresee the future (unlike some of the other Ranters who have forecast us forever playing in Saban's shadow or becoming a "second tier" program), but I think we'll continue to be competitive against both Bama and Fla given the way we have recruited.

Try playing the guy some.. in blowouts or even in some series during games.. don't continue to hide him away because he represents your errors from last year... take some heat for the situations you put him in and give the guy some reps in case he's gotta play, lets say, in the biggest game of the year.

Agree 100%! It's not like JJ has set the world of CFB on fire. JL should have seen some meaningful PT. Not START, but he should have played more in games against ULL and Vandy, as well a few series in other games.

Kinda funny how JL rotated a lot with Hatch last year but JJ has not done so this year. I don't think this coaching staff knows what to do with the QB situation.

BTW, can ANYONE give a logical answer as to why we keep running that sorry azz option play? Oh yeah, and JL throws that little swing pass MUCH better than JJ. I think that despite JL's INT problems, defenses consider him much more dangerous at passing than JJ.

JJ is developing and should START, but it wouldn't hurt and would ONLY benefit the TEAM if JL had gotten more PT than he has.

Probably, but it doesn't have anything at all to do with the QB situation as you suggest.
