Collins may well profile better in the nickel spot. Kind of takes a different skill set than a boundary corner that you'd see on the outside.

idk. I think either way you're making the right choice. Mills has looked good for a true freshman. Better than we probably could have expected.

Yep, that rare size for a corner is why he'll go high in the draft!

Simon is one of the top 10 corners in the nation and is likely a 2nd round draft pick right now. In the future Collins may become a better corner, but they aren't close right now. He may not be the greatest corner against the run, but makes up for it in his coverage. If he stays one more season he will likely be another 1st round CB pick from LSU.

Simon should play safety. He's getting exposed without that shut down guy on the other side. He too big to play CB

Collins is on his way to Freshman AA honors imo, and he'll be one of the best in the nation by his Junior year.

And Mills isn't? Mills is the starting CB as a true freshman on one of the best defenses in the nation. He is 4th on the team in tackles and tied for 1st in interceptions. I don't get how people can say Collins is better right now.

Haven't really heard his name much all year. That is a good thing.

I haven't played close attention for the last couple of games, but prior to that it appeared to me that Mills was the best all-around corner on the team...

Collins isn't afraid of contact and is a significantly better tackler than Simon

This, I love his physicality
