Makes sense must be BKs fault.

Lets just hope they get this out of their system now and come alive during SEC play. I believe the pitching will keep us in ballgames regardless, and the bats will come along.

The transfer guys haven't been great, but that isn't the end of the story. First, some transfer guys have been great - Cooper Moore, Caraway (for what we thought we were getting). Secondly, when you are talking about offensive production we usually expect in the 4 weeks of non-conference, our returners are the real disappointment in my opinion (outside of Brown). Milam, Arrambide both below expectations - even Curiel (hasn't been terrible but this is supposed to be a guy in SECPOY conversation). Stanfield hurt doesn't help.
Another issue though that I think a lot of people in this thread are overlooking is that Jay knows this is a long season and that it progressively gets more important. We are going to see him stretch these starters out and start going only/significantly to the 3-4 guys that have proved it this year out of the pen. I'll say that the 4 run inning where you pull Schmidt and go Moore-Guidry is concerning, but outside of that a lot of the pitching struggles have been from guys that aren't going to be on the bump much on the weekends here on out. He does this so that he can figure out what he's got, which proves useful when staff gets thin from injuries/loaded weeks in a tournament run.

It seems to me as if the team is playing lackadaisical there is no outstanding effort in the infield, looks like they let ground ball easily thru it! The out field looks competent enough. They seem to think that they are owed the wins against state schools!

You might have a point. I was there all weekend and I saw what everyone else saw. At the end of the day, when you get portal players - you PAY them therefore you have to PLAY them. So good, bad or indifferent, the boosters are not going to let you drop a bag on a guy and then let him sit.
CJJ has a lot to manage with that.
