Yeah, pretty much meaningless in my opinion. Mainly because those kids signing will likely play for at least one other school if not two during their collegiate career. Loyalty and discipline are no longer embraced by these kids and it pisses me off, but it is what it is I guess. I just hope that at some point in the near future, regulations are put into place to govern all this shite.

Ok, that’s enough “get off my lawn” talk.

Geaux Tigers!

It’s no longer recruiting, it’s musical chairs combined with a shopping spree.

Recruiting has lost its luster; excitement is still exciting.

Signing day used to be where a player was going to spend the next four years.

Nowadays, it’s just where the player thinks he might spend his first year of college football.

NIL has ruined college football. I think the players should get paid but there needs to be a cap. Similar to what you see with rookie contracts in the NFL. But way less

No high school player should be making the money being offered

As a fan I don’t know you

So you have no image no likeness

Break it down by games played

Let’s say a lineman is getting 300k

He plays 10 games

30 grand a game?

We’ve lost our minds

Glad I’m not paying a dime

I just fund my kids college educations

Roughly a 100k each

It’s been very challenging to pull that off between my wife and I

Meanwhile a football player not only get a free education, room and board

Buy now a check most of us don’t make after working 30 years in a career

And these young people will probably blow it and get behind on their taxes
