Why would Pelini be a LSU guy?
Just because he coached there for 3 years?
He coached under Mike Sherman at Green Bay for 3 years, does that mean he's a Mike Sherman guy? A Packers guy?
He also coached under Pete Carroll for 3 years with the Patriots... does that mean he's a Carroll Guy? A Patriots guy?
This is stupid.

He was hired as a head coach from LSU. If not for his success at LSU he may not be a head coach right now.

Pretty sure he would've been successful anywhere he went. He was a co-DC at OU for one year and they went to the NC game.
Not to mention the year before when he was at Nebraska and led the defense to a pretty good season and won the Alamo Bowl as interm HC.

None of that negates what I said.

i will always be appreciative to guys who coached and won at LSU. the pelinis, the muschamps, the fishers, even the dooleys, and especially the sabans of the world. but if they aint tigers, theyre tiger bait!!

Pelini no, but Fisher, Muschamp, and Dooley definitely...they weren't established as household names before coaching here.
It never ceases to amaze me to think that the 03 national championship team was coached by the current head coaches of Alabama, Florida, Florida State, and Tennessee.

What ever happened to that? Where's he coaching now?
I don't know that I would consider Fisher and Muschamp to be "LSU Guys" but I'll always have a favorable opinion of them because they were around at a special time in the program.

No, you're stupid. Pellini stayed on at LSU through the NC game and y'all had to wait for him. THAT makes him an LSU guy.

Is Mike Haywood gonna have to choke a bitch?
Wow, what a terrible career move that turned out to be. All those years paying his dues (albeit at very good programs) as a RB coach and he finally gets a HC gig at a BCS school with a pretty good history, and he can't even make it to spring training. Hell, was he even at Pitt for a week? I really hope he did that shite, it'd be hard to take if the lady made it up or really exaggerated what he did and his career was ruined because of a jilted lover.
