I am giving him a shot BC there isn't any choice. But I look toward the future, not just year to year. This year is the best opportunity to win because there is no guarantee Aranda and Canada will be here long term. What happens when they're gone? Is this sustainable? There's a lot to be excited about this year, but there are concerns for the future.

I'm saying LSU lost a game they shouldn't have lost against a depleted team. Stop complicating things, Derek.

I don't know who Derek is, but if he is a PR person and you know when he is PR'ing you can look at my post history and see if I was not posting at the same time he was PR'ing to find out for sure.

I'm glad you're excited, in the same way I'd have been excited if Jimbo came. I do hope you are right because I'm an LSU fan. Can't you understand the reservations some have though?

We all just want what's best for the program, even if we disagree on what those things are.

For those of us who wanted a proven elite coach, this is a disappointment right now. But winning will make all that disappointment go away. Just win. Then you won't have an axe to grind.

Well for one he is much calmer.. he stays out of the way of the offensive staff. He learned from Pete Carroll and Payton on shorter practices more film time instead of the old school hours and hours of practice. A lot of coaches former players and even NFL scouts have said how impressive he was running camps and practice.

Les were the coach again this year or had continued to coach LSU last year I had already decided I was not going to watch any more LSU games live. I was going to record them and if LSU won I would watch the game, if they lost I would just delete the shite.

Yet you throw a bitch for when people question our dumbass AD hiring a guy that's under .500 as a HC. Solid logic. You're still fricking delusional.

Oh I was P!ssed after the Florida game. That was the main reason I didn't want O for the job. I knew I didn't want Kiffin either though. I'm sorry but I hated the Florida game, especially when Beckwith went down. That whole game was awful with our miscues. I don't know what happened in that game but I'd be good to never see something like that again.

There hasn't been anything Joe A has been involved with that hasn't been a train wreck. I still have to give coach O credit for making last year more positive even in that environment. Florida game or not. It was still much better than I thought we'd be at after Les was finally fired.

Why didn't what he learned from Pete Carroll and Jimmy Johnson help him go better than 3-21 in SEC play at Ole Miss?

Pessimist much?

My truck is bound to have a flat tire during the rest of the time I own it. So, I haven't driven it in three years now. I'm not a pessimist I am a realist even though I really don't have a clue what will happen.

I'm sure their are other Broyles award candidates who make less than what LSU is willing to pay. No big deal.

Okay, I must apologize to you. I'm sorry for thinking you were like some of the other idiot Rantards who are crying about shite from 10 years ago.

I was wrong, you are actually an idiot ranter who is crying about two or three years in the future. Un-fricking-believable. Here, let me totally blow your mind - YOU ARE GOING TO DIE ONE DAY !!!! Sorry to frick up the rest of you miserable life more than it already is.

You may not know this but Coach O has made changes to his coaching staff. Most of the coaches responsible for the F-ups are gone now. But hey, if you want to be miserable about, that's your prerogative. Just thought I would throw some good out to mess up your crying game.

Are you this stupid and shallow? I love LSU but that's not life. My kids, my family, my impact in my community is life my friend. And I'm very happy in life. If I lived for some game with kids I don't know running around with a ball on a football field I'd be a Bama fan. And it would still be meaningless. I pity you.

Do you go to games? I find it funny how people bitch about being priced out of LSU football and how it's all becoming too corporate. But, then posters want to spend over 7 million dollars of other people's money.

To top it off, if Jimbo brought his staff with him LSU may have been worse than they will be with Coach O.

But these posts aren't doing that. They're constantly trying to pick apart everything wrong with the coach hired. They way you people are going on about how awful O is, you'd think we were already 1-5 going into the meat of the season. But we're not. I would say you're being delusional in your hate for a man who has only won his one and only game as head coach here. Against a Heisman trophy winner no less. Give the coach a chance to rise or fall on his own. I would be more than happy to see Joe A out of LSU. We never should have hired him. However that doesn't mean I'm going to hate and make up junk on every coach he hires because I wish them all to be championship winners. If they turn out to be losers, then fire away, but at least give him a fair shot to do what he can in the job he has.

Yet Alabama says investing big money in Saban has more than paid for his salary and they should pay him even more. And they're right. Completely foreign concept to you: spend money to make money.

I'm not an emo or whatever they are called. I get annoyed seeing little bitches cry all the time. fricking man up or find another sport to follow. Does LSU have women's badminton? I'm sure there is a lot less crying and little bitches on their team than there are on this board about football.

Crying on a message board AINT gonna change a damn thing.

Well maybe you'll be able to get over it in a few years. How many months have you been miserable now? They hired O in November and it's July. That's only 8 months. I know you can be miserable for a lot longer than that. Stick to your guns man and don't give up.

I'm done with you.

I apparently have much less personal investment in it than you do, so your personal accusations ring hollow, little snowflake.

Enjoy the ride. Hope you're right. Doubt you are.

Yeah, he led LSU to a national title, but he also whiffed on several coaching vacancies this past winter which sources say stemmed from poor, "rambling interview performances".

He did that deliberately. Buyout requires he look for work, this way he can claim to be looking for work while ensuring no one hires him.

No, I had watched 11 years of Les Miles' football. It was either quit watching LIVE, become an alcoholic, or spend thousands of dollars on TV's each season. I chose to quit watching Les Miles' coached games.

I didn't ever start but was going to after the Auburn game. If I had done it for the first four games I would have been able to watch the Miss St and the Jacksonville St games. That's it, I would have been able to watch 1-AA and Miss St. Yes, I am glad Coach O is HC at LSU.
