What programs are "mainstays" in the CWS these days? This isn't the 90s. Programs can have great runs where they go 2-3 years straight or w/e, but nobody is going every year anymore.

Don't forget the bad call at the plate at Auburn. Had that play been called correctly, we would have won all three series. There is something about this team that no one is talking about. They like each other, they are experienced and they are having fun. They got the mojo! They even dogpile (heaven forbid!). What is not to like about a bunch of kids going out there and taking care of business. THey are going to put it on Florida this weekend! And, the whiners and ranters will have to work harder to find something to complain about. Can't wait to see the blogs next week from the panty wads about how we can't hit.

They show some fight.
Last season they had no fight. If they didn't get up early in the game, it was over.

Still don't think they have '08 fight, but I hope they prove me wrong again.

I wouldn't go that far. We would have been tied w/ 2 outs & a runner on 1st, w/ auburn having the last AB. No sure thing.

You are right. I just hated watching the ump take the bat out of our boys hands not giving them the chance. Odds are, based on percentages, they would have won the game.

after the last 2 years you don't think it should be?? If south carolina can win 2 cws in a row then LSU should at least make 1 in a 3 year span. It's a sad day when we accept that in baseball. I'm not saying we have to win it all this year but we definitely need to make it.

you would be right if this wasn't the post

Is everyone all aboard the Manieri train now?

NO!!!! what has manieri done the last few years to make me want to ride his train??

We are talking about manieri right?? Ok then don't take my quotes out of context because I am not a republican presidential candidate. I would watch and cheer for LSU baseball if we were 0-25 but i would also start fire manieri treads everyday. This doesn't make me a fair weather fan and I don't just watch LSU when we winning. I actually attend basketball games so that just crushes that statement.

No actually this statement means im not getting on manieri's train until he brings LSU 2 the CWS again. super regional will not due. kevin, eades, rhymes, mason, cotton, the nola's are studs. If he doesn't win with this team then he never will win again at LSU

Yea, no other teams in the nation have good pitching.
A lot of good fortune and seeding plays a part in CWS appearances and often some of the most talented teams are watching others finish the season.

I don't know what world u living in but the most talented teams make the CWS. I'm not saying you are totally wrong because seeding and good fortune plays a part but we didn't make the CWS the last 2 years because overall we just weren't good enough and it was manieri's fault. Had nothing too do with seeding or good fortune.

'08 #4 Fresno says hi.
This would mean there's no use for regional and supers.
#1s don't always make it to CWS.

In fairness to the guy, it is a challenge to a number of coaches to maintain a consistent program when you are constanty having to look over your shoulder at the NBL draft.
