I didn't see anything about this. Are you sure that they were cut due to a slump, and not some criminal offense? I suppose that the coach could cut a player because he's in a slump, but I can't recall that happening. Criminal activity, though is a more normal reason for cutting players from the roster.

Wes Luquette and Michael Turnbull were both cut because of academic issues (grades, not going to class etc.)

this thread should not have begun, PM has done everything possible to make this work, just bc lsu has struggled hes the worst coach ever=fail, hes still a great coach, hes played 4-5 different ppl at 3rd base, and 3 in left field, and dont talk about what he has tried to do to get pitching to work, hes tried alot to make the team win, and hes done and great job and will continue to,

Tho Wes was cut, he was not kicked of the team. He has basically been demoted to bullpen catcher for the rest of the season. He's at every game home and away with all of his uniform on exept his jersey.

No.. wes was kicked off the team... AJ (one of the mangers) is the bullpen catcher that usually doesn't have a jersey on.

Who cares? CPM man is the man with the ball, he makes the call.

This is AMERICA. If you suck, you lose. Its the AMERICAN WAY. Its the way life is supposed to be. You are loyal to your God and country, everyone else needs to perform and measure up. CPM is hired to make LSU money, period. No room for babysitting crybaby players who dont study and dont perform. If LSU loses, he gets fired, so I say he can do whatever the hell he wants.

They are grown men, the need to learn life lessons the hard way. Fans worrying about their feelings will not help the discarded players succeed in life.
