If you listen to his interview with T-Bob yesterday, you can tell that he knew what’s going on with the team, especially the pitching rotation. For example, when asked if Walker starts game 2, he said No about 5 times before he informed Henry will start. It’s like CPM is seeking advices from him, especially this time of the year. Does anyone know? If so, that’s great.

I would say absolutely not. I think it’s coach Bertmans opinion.

Probably Skip keeps in touch with Paul because they are friends, not because he is helping run the team.

I agree. Why wouldn’t CPM discuss items like this with Skip? Everybody has to have someone to discuss work stuff with, the way College baseball is and limited assistants make sense to me why he talks to Skip.

CPM would be a fool to turn down advice from Skip or discuss things when he has the chance. I hope they talk daily.

If CPM loses - fire him, he’ll never be skip

If CPM wins - he’s taking advice from skip

I'm sure Paul may bounce ideas off of him. Skip is the GOAT.

Or maybe it's just that Skip would have done the same thing and unlike what the rant thinks alot of time Paul knows what he is doing and Skip would make the same decisions

As long as it does not get Skip stressed out. He's no spring chicken and Paul's a good man. LSU has numerous battles in front of them in the immediate sense in this tournament so worry about that! Skip is only a band aid for a org that needs stitches.

One other thing occurs here: LSU has flown up to South Bend and faced Notre Dame and flown to Austin to face Texas. Stony Brook out of New York. All of these opponents are as tough as any which is to LSU's credit as BRAVE.

when you get older you’ll understand what it means to be a true leader. Mature men take advice from other men. They listen and try to understand in order to improve themselves. They know that when we stop learning or aren’t willing to learn, it is time to hang it up.

The fundamentals of baseball are the same as they have been for over 100 years. . CPM lost his father who was a big influence on his life and a HOF coach who I’m sure he bounced ideas off of all the time. When you’ve been influenced by another coach and the guy that hired you was tGOAT baseball coach you won’t hesitate to go to him for opinions.
At least that’s what a great leader would do...

contrary to popular believe, all coaches take money. What if I told you a little secret? What if, a coach in the SEC gives camp money to his “volunteer” assistants. Would you believe me? How many coaches in the SEC does this? You would be surprised.

You’re an idiot if you don’t understand that. Now quit being such a dick.

I love Skip. Any welcomed input that Mainieri gets from The Legend can only help the team.

this is a question i've had for some time. how in the world would you not have regular meetings with the 2nd best college baseball coach of all time?

can wade use brady? like can they study game film together or is that some ncaa violation? brady has extensive experience as a head coach, made a final four and had an awesome awesome defense - something we weren't great at last year. there's no way i'm going to just let that resource sit there unused unless it's an outright violation.
