Lol. You cant tell someone's demeanor on a message board. If i were on here agreeing with you you wouldnt deem my demeanor as childish.
Anyway this thread is going in circles.
Geaux Tigahs and hopefully Coach O will make these threads meaningless.
Being wrong about his hire will be the best thing.
Ive repeatedly admitted we looked better under his interim.

My son had a baseball tournament and are you under the ignorant impression that Green Bay was a home game? I have a degree from Duke . Deal with it.
You are a 60 year old trailer park resident with a shite bag.

No one has said he has been a DC or OC. What people have said is that Orgeron has other attributes that lend to him being capable as a HC. What you don't seem to be able to grasp is that listing facts about someone's resume does not, in and of itself, make your assertion it was a bad hire a fact. That is still an opinion based on the set of facts you chose to weigh more so than others. The differing opinions have taken additional set of facts about his resume that are weighed in that opinion of why it was not a bad hire.
You've made it very clear what your stance is. However, that does not make your stance correct or make your opinion of the hire a fact.

K. Its a fact that outside of when bama was on probation, o is the most unqualified hire in big 6 history.
Derek Dooley had a better HC record.

Orgeron is off to a strong start and I'm excited for the future!!! So glad we can all agree!
He's off to a great start at properly managing the program.
1. He fired the two coaches I think everyone agreed needed to go: Cameron and Peveto
2. He hired a great OC in Canada
3. He made sure we held onto Aranda and made him the highest paid coordinator in college football
4. He kept together the entire recruiting class and has gotten several other big recruits since taking over the job
5. He didn't let the team roll over and die after losing to Alabama, which has been the case almost every year as of late.
Sure there are some concerning things about his past, but there are also some very encouraging things he's done since his time at Ole Miss and since he took over the job at LSU.

that does not make him a better candidate. His record at Louisiana Tech and limited experience elsewhere does not equate to him being a better candidate than Ed Orgeron. The two jobs and difficulties associated with them are not equal.

Having one player flip is unbelievable when a coaching change takes place. Les Miles had a signing class of like 12 his first year. And players flipping happen even without a regime change. Happened to Miles all the time, and he was a fantastic recruiter

A better resume makes you a better hire. Prior to being hired at Tenn Dooley had had more success than ed orgeron has had.

Because saban stopped recruiting and left lsu with 1 month until nsd.

I never said it didnt.

I agree 100% and am surprised at all the down votes on the OP. Coach O has done nothing since taking over as interim to make me question that he will not be a good head coach except...He came out saying that he needed a drop back pro style quarterback (obviously a plus for Brennan) then came out a few weeks later saying that LSU needed a dual threat quarterback to compete for championships (plus for Narciss but wavered Brennan to the point that he opened up recruitment). I've never been a fan of sending mixed massages to recruits. Fortunately Canada has been able to retain both. When CEO loses Canada/Aranda...that's when we will see his metal as a head coach.

Coaches grow from their mistakes (usually, although miles only seemed to get more stubborn) and can adapt over the years. Orgeron has already shown a lot of promise there. He's been incredibly flexible in some management areas and I'm encouraged.
I point to the Etling interception before halftime in the bowl game as an interesting moment. A decade or more ago, he would have come unglued in such an instance. I watched closely bc that was an in the moment experience that showed more than words. He didn't get in the kids face. He gave him the look and that was that. But he didn't coach scared and he didn't handle that moment like a defensive line coach. I remember him nearly choking his QB at ole miss one year for throwing a pick or fumbling. He said he'd learned you have to approach it differently with different players. That in the moment test was very revealing in my opinion and a very positive indicator that he's not just spouting off what people want to hear. He's not the same head coach today that he was a decade ago. It was a subtle thing that I'm sure went largely unnoticed, but it was so encouraging in how he responded in the moment and coaching wise the rest of that game. He didn't go into ultra conservative don't pass mode. He kept attacking.
We are in for a good run

Anyway i agree O has done a great job since the interim tag was removed.
I hope he continues that. It will be great if im wrong.
