Sure, he's an improvement over Malveto, who isn't, but is he getting the most out of our defense? I don't think that he is. His inability to put pressure on QB's will really stick out this Saturday. Mallet won't miss the throws Snead did.

What you saw this year is what you will get long term with Chavis. He ran the same defense up here and got the exact same criticisms from Vol fans that he is now getting from LSU fans. It won't change.

Yes he's more than the answer. The defense is just staying on the field too long. This is what he had to deal with in UT the last few years.

Great defense. The offense just couldn't do shite.

He gets another year to put in his system, and recruit linebackers with speed.

Sloppy seconds.

But he's a good fit with Miles who is acting more and more like Phil Fulmer every year.

Well the defense does stay on the field too long but he had Tenn. Defense respectable not dominating year after year. I think the first year in the system he has done a decent job considering how bad the Offense is and all three and outs that tire out the Defense

agreed, and I'm not calling for him to be fired. I just don't believe that he can get the job done based upon what I've seen from this year's D.

Chavis is not the answer.

We need a coordinator who takes QBs out of their comfort zone.

Chavis is 'bend, but don't break'.

I gave the Chavis hire a B grade when he signed. I guess I'll stick with this: the defense has gone from horrible to ordinary; I guess that's progress. And yes, I agree, having the D out there for 140 plays a game takes something out of them, but consider: how many times this year have you seen our D suck in the first quarter or first half when, presumably, they're fresher? They actually seem to pull it together later in the game, which argues against the "tired from overuse" notion.

Bitching about chavis is insane. His defensive scheme has been great all year. It's up to the players to execute it. He isn't the one out there blowing coverages, missing tackles and not wrapping up. He has made the neccisary adjustments during games all year. He was an A+ hire by miles.

Saban had a blitz for every state in the union. Chavis has a blitz for every primary color. I hate is schemes. He needs to brings the ruckus.

you coach around the talent you have. you don't ask them to do something they can't.

like is what's happening on the offensive side of the ball.
